Localized terrain strings

Version 1.10 - german language:
In game the english terrain labels are shown although in strings.pzdat in the german subfolder (..\Slitherine\Panzer Corps\Localization\de\Data) the terrain is localized using the following ID's:

And there's a typing error in IDS_TRN_MAJOR_RIVER: "Großer Fluss" or "Größerer Fluss" (or "Strom").

Can you tell us where exactly you are seeing English text - just a note Afrika Korps & the DLC's are not translated yet - only the base game.

What a pity: in 1.11 beta3 the german texts were displayed but in the release version the english text are displayed again like in 1.11 beta1.

I cannot repro this. Do you have german localization active? (In 1.11 only with german language active terrain strings will be in german) Do you load a game, or start a new scenario?

German language active, vanilla campaign and AK: German texts are displayed.

Do DLC use the 'strings.pzdat' in 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Slitherine\Panzer Corps\Localization\de' or do they use other files'? I use german translation for DLC from DMP instead of the original pzloc- and pzdat-files in the DLC-subfolders.

Well, I've just run GC '41 campaign with german language active, and all terrains are in german. :-/

Did you start Streets of Moscow with 1.11, or loaded a game created by a previous version?
What will happen if you use default DLC, without the DMP translation?

I tested myself with german localisation...for me everything works fine now...in my game at first map (poland), hex (20/15) is called "Hügel" as it should be

I updated to version 1.11 while playing DLC 41 Vyazma and saved the game in deployement phase of Moscow. No matter if I load this savegame or older ones: english labels are displayed. Afterwards I started each DLC from 1 to 7 and got every time the german labels for terrain. Even if I save and reload them german localisation is used. So it seems to be the english texts were only shown if a campaign was started with version 1.10, but if a campaign is started with version 1.11 it works fine. So for me the issue is solved and after playing the remainig scenarios I 'll start with DLC 42 and get german texts at this point.
