Do you have any mods installed?

Probably it would be best for you to uninstall the game and install it again.
Begin with the last DLC, Afrika Korps and remaining DLC's (in case you have them installed).
Check and delete all files in your Panzer Coprs installation folder.
Then start installing Panzer Corps 1.0, DLC (in order), AK and the last DLC. In case you don't have them, install patch 1.11 after having installed Panzer Corps 1.0.

Hello,

I deleted everything. Installed 1.0 then patch 1.11. I don't have any MOD or DLCs yet.

Issue is still there.

No sound for halftrack SdKfz 251/1 and equipment file reported as modded in MP games.

My equipment.pzeqp is 255.200 bytes and 1/10/2012 last modified. I have another equipment.pzeqp in localization de. I chose English when installing the patch. Maybe something got mixed up there. That file in de folder is dated from 26/10/2011.

It is always very dangerous to release patches not thoroughly tested. It breaks hours of testing put in the previous patch and reputation. If you don't have time to test a patch, don't release one.

I work in the IT industry and it is basic knowledge that modifying the code breaks the code.

I have the exact same issues Mordan described. I did notice that there are new MP games posted in the last two days that don't say there are modified eqp files, so clearly some players do have the correct eqp file. I wonder if there is an issue updating via the ingame downloader versus updating via manual downloading, or with one of the installation choices.

We both know that any program has bugs, and no amount of testing can change that. 1.11 fixes a number of rather annoying issues, and also enables people to play the new GC 42-43, and for this reason it was needed. But it is not the last patch.

First issue does not repeat for me, both in my working copy, and in a fresh 1.11 install. But I have a guess. Does this happen to you when loading a saved game, or in fresh games too?

As for the second issue, I confirm it, and it will be fixed. For now I can only say that this message is a false alarm, but the equipment file is in fact correct.

I downloaded the patch manually from a mirror.

the equipment file issue occurs only when I create a challenge in the lobby.

anyways thx for taking up the flak and fixing the issue :)

Yes, I understand. The thing is, when you start an MP game, the engine checks CRC of all files involved against a database it has. If there are CRC mismatches, a warning is displayed about custom/modified files. This is what you see, because CRC database in 1.11 is not up to date. Tricky thing is, it was correct in the GM build, but for whatever reason it did not get into the final installer. We are investigating this issue together with the installer team.

As for sound issue, I've made some tests myself, and it seems that this can happen when loading saved games created by older versions. We had to rename a few files (to fix a different issue), but old saves still remember file names which were used before.

In any case, sorry for these problems.
