Glad you like my idea Mac and yes it will keep them guessing. No problems with me as im down the bottom of the ladder and like the idea of a sneak attack

batesmotel34 -Nikephorian Byzantines(early) - 25/38
phlewis Dailami(Buyid) - 30/30
Byzantine numbers and bow fire decided this. The Dailami lost a TC and an FC, no camps were looted. Thanks for the game.

Lord Chaldia is proud to announce a victory against the Great Turk
and his Saminid Horde.
A very narrow one at that with the Turk coming back from all odds
to nearly achieving a victory, only for a few sneaky Ghaznavid horse archers pillaging the
Saminids camp clenched the victory.
iandavidsmith Ghaznavids 29/33
vrs
Turk1964 Saminids 45/39
Turk lost a camp.
No FC's lost
Another Great game , thanks Turk
Cheers

Re: To Tame A land 2.0
Yes a thrilling game which started very ordinary for me and i thought i was going to get a severe thrashing.Fortunatly my Dailami and armoured defensive foot held their ground and took it back to the Ghazis. My Cav were a huge disapointment and fought without courage and were soon running from the battle field. No doubt those Nellies scared the hell out of them
Thanks for a great game Ian. Cheers Turk

Aristides Nikeforian byzantine(later) 43/39 vs Tiavals Komnean byzantine(mercenaries) 9/38
Nothing looted. No commanders killed, I think.
My unit composition happened to be a more or less perfect counter for Aristides, so the result was decided pretty early.

Plus I have never seen ayone roll such consistently excellent dice as T! (I make no dark accusations, as this also happens during my own turns!)Tiavals wrote: My unit composition happened to be a more or less perfect counter for Aristides, so the result was decided pretty early.

Mr Lucky i callls him
Yes its not meant to happen and luck isnt a factor they say. I respectfully disagree and think luck is an overwhelming factor in some games.

I have to agree - although it does seem the same players win competitions regularly...Turk1964 wrote:luck is an overwhelming factor in some games.

Re: To Tame A land 2.0
batesmotel - Nikephorian Byzantine(early) 16/42
Tiavals - Italian Ostrogothic 48/44
Byzantines lost their camp, the Ostrogoths lost both their FCs who died heroicially trying to save their troops. The Ostrogoths deployed in two wings and the Byzantines were able to gang up on one while delaying the other Ostrogothic wing with light troops assisted by generous amounts of impassable terrain on that flank.
Thanks for a fun game.
