Is a demo going to be available anytime soon?

I must admit to being tempted, because I love the historical period.
I am cautious though because I liked the idea of Crusader Kings 2, but was disappointed with the gameplay.

I read on the AOEG forum that a Demo is imminent (possibly this week) :)
