I downloaded this beta. What's it supposed to do? My regular game comes up when I cklick on the link. Nothing new appears.

If you have the two files downloaded and installed, just start Pz Corps beta, in the intro screen, select 'New Game'.

In the next screen, where you can choose between all the campaigns, on the right lower side is an icon, looks like a paper dossier folder. (if you use a very low resolution it will not be in view completely). If you hover your cursor over it it says 'More Campaigns'. Select it, you will go to another screen and see 'Grand Campaign '42/43 West', use that to play, it's the beta Grand Campaign.

Nope. On the DLC East betas you only saw it changed when there was a change in PzC engine version. The same here. In AK you saw it change because PzC engine changed with each beta.

Maybe we are all wrong but if you refer to this post DLC 42/43 West BETA 2 Changelog it is the changelog for "DLC 42/43 West Beta 2" not for "Panzer Corps 1.11 Beta 2".

Click the additional campaigns box to the bottom right of the menu.

This calls up a DLC menu where it should be selectable for you.

You continue to misunderstand. What Kerensky call beta 2 is to the second version of DLC not to the Panzer Corps engine version.
That number in the main menu is/was/will always, but always, be referring to the version number of Panzer Corps engine.

No, it's not clear. The version that was released on September 21, 2012 is different from the version that was released on September 14, 2012, because it was changed based on feedback from beta testers during the first week. It is still 1.11, but it is not the same version I downloaded last week. Call it whatever you want to, it is an UPDATED version from the "original" released last week.

Other than some semantics and word choice, I don't see any problem here.
One of the things that does happen when releasing rapid fire updates is that some tidbits might get overlooked from time to time. (Version names and numbers, being temporary by nature already, are prone to this)

If you have any problem with launching the game, and feel that your DLC version has not been updated properly, please let us know. If not, please enjoy the game and leave lots more excellent feedback.

What is the name of the version the "beta" game released on September 21? West 42/43 1.11 Beta2 That was my only point here. Until I started the game up the first time after downloading the update, I could not tell if I successfully loaded up the September 21, 2012 "update" and or "individual beta 2", or if I still had the September 14, 2012 initial release. At the bottom of the game's main page it was still indicating Beta 1, September 14, 2012. At first I assumed that had I incorrectly downloaded the September 21, 2012 update because I thought the the game's main introduction screen would be updated to September 21, 2012 and say beta 2. When this was not the case, I got confused and asked a question, and that was ALL I was asking. I did not get the usual E-mail advising that a new beta and/or update had been released this week, so there was some confusion on my part. Also, Ian's post where the new "update" released on September 21, 2012 was dated September 14, 2012. Again, I was a bit confused and wanted to make sure I was downloading the "updated" version, and not the September 14, 2012 version. I just wanted some clarity. Maybe these types of things are instinctually obvious to others around here, but not me. Instead I get jumped on by VPaulus for asking a question.

I think in the future, it might be a good idea to show somewhere on the opening page the date or version of the game a player is using to avoid this confusion in the future. I'm not a computer programmer or modder. I just want a nice and easy way to install updates and confirm that I have successfully done so.

Again, I am just a player/customer/beta tester trying to make helpful suggestions. But instead of digging through the installer files, wouldn't it be easier to fire up the game and just be able to see the version of the game or beta I am playing on the game's main start screen? Most software programs make this information readily available on the main screen, or available by clicking an info button. Updating the game should be made as easy as possible so that people of varying familiarity with computers and downloading stuff can easily ascertain this information. I think it would be an improvement in the overall game. Judging by some of the comments in this thread, I was not the only one who was confused.

there are 2 installers. The game and the content. The game is version 1.11 beta 1. This is the game version. The new update only changed the content not the game. The game is still 1.11 beta 1. The version of the content is never shown anywhere except on the installer.

On the CRC error this is because your original version of the game is either not installed or corrupt. You need to reinstall the original game (not the beta).

Everything is working as intended according to the feedback here.

My game has been working fine, when I installed it on September 14, 2012 and September 21, 2012. I have had no software corruption issues.

I have the base game installed. There are no issues as far as I can tell.

Yes--that was never the issue. The only issue was whether or not I had successfully downloaded and updated from the content that was released on September 14, 2012 to the content that was released on September 21, 2012. It appears that managed to successfully download the updated content changes, and everything appears to be working normally.

It does not appear in the additional campaigns box. Like I said, it doesn't appear anywhere.
