Multiplayer Crashes

In multiplayer, playing the Hunters in Atlantic scenario, I cannot get past turn two without the game crashing. Windows pops up and says the program quit. I have player dozens of multiplayer games in the past. This started happening after the afrika corps update.

any suggestions? I can't even tell my opponent what is happening.

Windows 7 Home edition.

As a follow up, my opponent was having the same problem with crashes that I was experiencing. I started a new paired set of scenarios and those are working fine. Must have been a corrputed file or something.
