We have been in a discussion trying to understand when a spotted unit, that moves continue being spotted.
We assume that building, rough, tank traps, etc are cover tiles that work similar referring to conceal units.
Exemples:
A inf in a building moves to open, so is spotted, and then enter another building, the the unit is concealed again.
A inf is in rough, fires and is spotted, moves to and adjacent rough and is fired, i.e. is still spotted.
A inf in a building is spotted, moves to another adjacent tile building and continues being spotted.
Is there a rule there? is there a way to understand if a unit will continue being spotted prior to move?.

I will try to answer with my best guess and looking into CombatTools.BSF which gives some interesting information and hints,
For example, the ambush message for hidden units will appear in one of the eight tiles surrounding the hidden unit, but never on the actual tile they are...
For the questions asked, the general rule seems to be that that once the unit is spotted, it will be spotted for the entire turn (until next turn). So if it is spotted, for whatever reason, and goes inside a building or another object that will hide it, it is still visible during that turn. I would say that even if there is no direct LOS to the tile it will still be visible until next turn, notice that if there is no direct LOS there can be no reaction fire but I think that until next turn the unit will be entire visible for the opponent.
Probably a good test for multiplayer, once a unit is spotted, ask the opponent if he can see all its movements for that turn. My guess is yes.

A played MP agains my self.
I used a scenario where I put an US Scout at 3 tiles away from a building, I put all sides to not fire if not attacked.
On the other side, as german, I put an infantry on the building in front of the scout.
Then in my US turn, the scout did not see the infantry until it uses his scout action.
Then in the other side turn, I moved the spotted infantry crossing the street 1 tile width, and enter another building in the other side of the street.
Then in the US turn, during replay, I see the infantry crossing the street and then it become concealed entering the building, so the rule that once spotted continue spotted did not work here.
I tried another situation, using the same approach: MP again my self.
Infantry in a rough fires to infantry two tiles away, the firing unit is spotted after firing, then I moved the inf. to an adjacent tile (also rough) the inf is fired again, so it's is still spotted, so the rule here works.
I tried several other situations, and until now, I could only say that: I don't understand the rule.

From memory, it is the TILE which remains spotted and not the unit itself. I would have to dig right down into the logic to be entirely sure, but we only do the LOS calcs infrequently so it makes sense.
