I found the following terrain errors in the 'Volturno' scenario:
1) The Volturno River on the game map appears to dry up in a swamp before reaching the sea. In fact it reaches the sea in a town called "Castel Volturno" that is well-known.
2) Likewise the Biterno River is shown drying up in a swamp near Termoli. In reality it reaches the sea to the south of the town.
Since these are the focus of the defensive line it draws attention.

Re: Map errors
Tarranto (Beta2) Hex 25,13 direct north of Lecce can't be entered.
Re: Map errors
That last one is actually working as intended. A few more turns should reveal why.
Re: Map errors
In fact, now I know why the hex (and it neighbour 26, 14) could not be entered.Good idea to lock the field to prevent that bonus units can not appear.Kerensky wrote:That last one is actually working as intended. A few more turns should reveal why.
So I have to watch out for locked hexes.
Re: Map errors
In the past, we used renamed hexes, but people would just look for those strings. If we don't block hexes though, units can fail to appear if the hex is occupied.
Re: Map errors
Is this a behaviour of the map/scenario or the game (version 1.11)? Or asked in another way: will all hex be blocked where captured units appeared in AK or GC39-GC45East?Kerensky wrote:In the past, we used renamed hexes, but people would just look for those strings. Yeah, that's the way it is from GC and others. As Kerensky said, they had unique names, so were easy to ID that way once you learned that. But they were blocked from movement in GC games.
Re: Map errors
Usually they will be blocked, especially for mission critical units that MUST spawn, but they won't always be blocked. Sometimes they just get offset a few hexes, that works well too. It really is handled on a case by case basis though.
