guille, you know what would be even more awesome? arty modes for the StugIIIF, F/8, and IIIG, and a direct fire mode for the IIIA & B.

Ok! Thanks for the feedback! And lots of thanks for the 10.5 cm Flak image!
The request are being incorporated to my (not so long) pending list, they don't seem to be very difficult to make, so give me a couple of days. That is, except the submersible battleships! I think I don't have enough documentation on them! :-)

Hello to all!

There is a new version of the Unit Pack to download (link in the first Post). The same as before + some new units... Some of them were alrerady posted here, other are completely new releases.

Here is the preview text, and also are included a small pack of desert coloured skins and thumbnail skins to be used in the Camo Sprayshop program.

2012-09-21 Release:
-------------------

Fieseler Fi-156C-5/Trop: Tropicalised, long range version of this utility/observation plane. Available in two desert camo schemes (one can be used for the standard unit and the other for a bonus unit). Icons made using the Bosnian Dragon one as a base, then processed with the Camo Sprayshop porgram and finished manually.

12.8cm Flak 40: New and improved (I hope) icon for this heavy AA gun. Reworked using as a base the image provided by Chris10 (thanks!). Available in AA and ground combat mode. Now it looks real different fron the 8.8cm Flak gun. Asd it was a very heavy piece of equipment, this unit does not have movement by itself, only when towed by a transport vehicle.

12.8cm Flak 40 Eisenbahn: 12.8cm Flak40 gun mounted on a four axle railcar, unit created to give those very heavy (and unmobile) guns a degree of mobility. The field version of this gun was rejected because it was too heavy to haul around a battlefield (26 tons), so the original gun was detined to fixed locations. The icon was made using the rail flatcar gently provided by ThvN, which is an excellent work, and I think to use for various other transformation projects (thanks!). The big unit portrait comes from the excellent image kindly provided by cammel (thanks!).

8.8cm Flak 36 Eisenbahn: 8.8cm Flak36 guns mounted on a four axle railcar. The icon was made also using the rail flatcar gently provided by ThvN (thanks!).

Sdkfz. 221: Early recon vehicle, lighter armament than the Sdkfz. 222, but cheaper.

Sdkfz. 221 mit sPzB 41: Field modification of above vehicle, with a sPzB 41 anti-tank gun instead of the machine gun.

Sdkfz. 251-10: Variant of the Sdkfz. 251 half-track with a 3.7 cm Pack 37 AT gun in the front. Available as a transport unit and also as a makeshift anti-tank self-propelled gun.

Sdkfz. 250-10: Variant of the Sdkfz. 250 half-track with a 3.7 cm Pack 37 AT gun in the front. Available as a transport unit and also as a makeshift anti-tank self-propelled gun.

StuG IIIA & IIIB (share the same icons): Made available in AT an Artillery versions (Not that the difference is very much noticeable, due to the short barrel, but you asked, I do it! Besides, i like the barrel elevation effect). In standard grey paint, SE and SS variants camo schemes (from airbornemongo101 Elite Units Mod)

Strongpoint_Big: A bigger variant of the good looking icon for the standard PzCorps strongpoint icon.

Turm und Flak Bunker: AQn artist's license... a bunker combining an obsolete tank turret (Pz IIIE) and a Flakvierling AA gun. I don´t know if existed such a fortification (or similar in concept, at least), but this unit was originated as une of my "custom" units in Panzer General Forever, so, here it is.

Wehrmacht_HW_AA and Wehrmacht_HW_43_AA: "Anti-Aircraft" versions of the HW Infantry icon, as was asked in the forum.

Wermacht_Inf_AA and Wehrmacht_Inf_43_AA: "Anti-Aircraft" versions of the Infantry icon, as a bonus derived from the HW Infantry.

Enjoy!!

I really like this mod but i have a question. Is it compatible with the Elite Units Mod? Or will it be? I think these two mods will remake the game (for me at least)

Pandinos: Thanks for your words, but remake the game with my mod is to exagerate things a bit... my mod only add some new units and give other old ones new uses... Now, the Elite Units Mod indeed goes a little more further... But I appreciate your support!

About Elite Units Mod Compatibility... This unit pack is compatible after some work from the user (you, in this case :-) ) You have to apply to your game the Elite Units Mod and then open the equipment file of the Elite Units Mod and the equipment file from my unit pack with excel and copy the last rows of my pack file to the equipment file of the Elite Units Mod... (the units I added start with number 3001 in the equipment file, so if you copy from this row on to any equipment file, you will have no compatibility problems). After that, you should do the same with the efx file, and then, at last, copy all the unit icons of my pack to the Elite Units unit icons folder and the big unit portraits to the Bigunits folder.

You have to know a little about the internal directory structure of this game to be able to do this, but it is not difficult. I want to "unify" my unit pack with the Elite Units Mod (as this is one of my favourites, and my "dream game" would be to play the GTGC mod using the equipment file of the Elite Units + my unit pack), but it requires a little work, and permission from the author of the Elite Units Mod, of course.

Making a long story short, yes, you will have a Elite-Multipurpose Units Mod, but you will have to wait some (no so long) time...

I hope you understand my quick "integration" guide! If not, ask me...

bt2steam: The download is working correctly, I checked it some moments ago... Are you still having problems to download the file? If the answer is yes, you can send me a Private Message with an e-mail and I would send the file directly to you. It is a 4 Mb file (If this is ok for you, of course).

Greetings to all!

Thanks for the update!
I'll add a few more of the units to the GTPG mod. Great work Guille, much appreciated.

Out of respect and your approval for the units, i added your name to the opening screen of the first scenario.

Nikivdd!! Thanks for the credits! I think its the first time ever I am in a game credits list! (I modded some of earlier games, but always kept my work for my personal use) Besides, I am very happy to be helping to the modder who is developing my favourite PzCorps Mod! As I have written before, my "dream PzCorps game" is to play GTPG Great Camp using an the equipment file of the Elite Units mod + "my" units pack...

As always, you are free to use any of the units I post here, and if you have any special request to complete or complement your project, feel free also to ask and I will do my best to help.

Thanks again!

I integrated a part of Bob's mod into GTPG v2.0....making an GTPG v2.0 and SS-GTPG version would, unfortunately, take too much time. I'll send you the next beta built (should be one of these days if i get bloody Tunis right lol).
Incase you still haven't got enough...Italian 75/18 art in AT modus for Italian Africa Korps would be really cool, but i'm actually naming it 75/32 there. For now i put the 47mm as a placeholder. Thanks :)

Hello all!

There is a new update to download: The Italian Unit Pack...

I thought there were some Italian units that deserved to be renamed/improved/added to the armory...

You will find:

Obice da 75/18 in Aty and AT versions.
Canone da 75/32 in Aty and AT versions.
Semovente 75/18 M40 in Aty and AT modes.
Semovente 75/32 M41 in Aty and AT modes.
Semovente 105/25 M43 in Aty and AT modes.
Semovente 149/40 M42 in Aty and AT modes (this is a kind of "what if?" unit as there was only one prototype built).
Cannone 149/40 M35.

Check out, use and comment!
Happy desert campaigning!
Cheers!

Excellent work! And it comes with all the surplus files (UI/Efx). Soon my pc won't need me anymore for making a scenario
Thanks Guille. Gonna build 'em in straight away.

Nikivdd: Take the efx file as experimental... I only did a patchwork using offsets from other units I thought were similar...

Hi Guille, nice work you did with the rail flatcar, I'm happy you like it! I've got one small question though, the 3.7cm Flak_AT gun in your Unit Pack, isn't that the one I posted elsewhere on the forum? If so, no problem, you can add my 20mm icons too if you wish, but I would appreciate it if you mention it in your .txt file?

Thanks for mentioning me for the rail flatcar though, it really nice to see other people make something unique, I have too little time to complete so many icons, altough I have some vacation coming up, so I might finish some half-ready icons I have laying around.

I can also add the West_Allied version of the 3.7cm Flak and the 'training' versions of both the 3.7cm and the 20mm, since it's only a recoloring basically, just to complete the set, if there is any demand for them. Since I'm not sure if I will finish enough icons to make it interesting for a seperate pack, and you already have such an impressive amount of icons, I'll just post my 20mm's here, so they won't wither away on my harddisk, would be a shame of all the work I put into them... Right now the shadow of the West_Allied version is still too dark, so I might touch that up in the future.

Thanks, guille :D You know, you ought to consider dual-modding all the units that could historically. Guille's Dual Mode Mod

While I'm thinking of it, did the 12.8 cm flak ever engage ground targets directly or by supporting fire? Could it?

To ThvN: Thanks again for you superb rail flatcar, you gave me a base for some more "projects" to come...
About the 3.7 Flak in AT mode... Really don't know, because when I came up with this "multipurpose icons" idea, I had dwnloaded tons of material from this forum, so it is very likely... I will mention this fact in my credits text file, no problem.
Thanks also for this 20 mm Flak in At mode, it is also superb, and will be added and mentioned in the credits! I will try to make lighter the shadow of the west allies gun by myself and see if the result is good enough, to save you t
yhe work...

To 4kEY: Heres is the example of two "synchronized" modding minds... Some days ago, the idea of a "multipurpose units mod" came up to me. The problem is the likely "bug" I found in v1.10 of the game with triple switchable units (see other thread I opened about this matter), this is really a problem to this modding concept. I started composing a text file describing the purpose and concepts applied to such a mod, to post it in this thread...

Besides other things, there will be a lot of switchable units (in more ways than AT - AA), for example, infantry and AT guns could be switched to "entrenched" units... with no movement, but with higher defense values. As I plan to make AT guns and SP AT deadlier against infantry, this would rebalance things for units who are soft targets cought in the open, they would not be so easily wiped out and they would be useful defending important hexes.

About 12.8 flak in ground combat mode, the only I can comment to you is that I read from some serious source (dont remember in what book now, I think was one from Schiffer publishing) that the guns which were in the Berlin flak towers (12.8 cm Flakzwilling) fired against the invading Russian ground forces and they proved very effective in stopping them (but of course, this was only a temporary thing, as we all know). Russians answered using 152 mm artillery in direct fire against the armored shutters installed in the flak towers windows.

There will be a lot coming from this thread, I hope you all like the ideas, files & concepts.
