Do I have to re-load the base beta game before the beta 2 install again? I tried just installing the LC82 Beta file and it seemed to install okay, but the game's front page still shows it as Beta 1.

Good catch, but I only downloaded and installed the small DLC file, and I saw the changes in the scenarios that Kerensky described, so it should work fine? I think the base beta game is only there to help test the DLC betas. I'm not 100% sure, but I see the beta2 changes during play after just installing the new DLC file.

Only the DLC-8 is beta V2. The base game is still beta V1. You don't need to re-download the base game. Uninstall only DLC8-v1.

I didn't uninstall anything, but loaded the DLC8 Beta 2 and Beta 2 seems to be installed. However, the opening screen still indicates that it is Beta 1.

It DOES NOT SAY BETA 2 on the opening screen. It just says Beta 1, and the date September 14, 2012.

And that's correct. That number, in the opening screen is always related to the "engine" version, never to the DLC version. You don't have any beta 2 installed, because there isn't any beta2.
The only thing that was changed was the DLC version.

Thanks Zappel, this is what I was referring to. When I downloaded the "Beta 2" or whatever it is called, and then rebooted up the game, I expected to see that this had changed--as it has on past upgrades in beta testing on other platforms, like the DLC East betas, and the AK betas. I did not know if I had successfully upgraded until I started playing and saw the changes in different units present, tactics, etc.

Nope. On the DLC East betas you only saw it changed when there was a change in PzC engine version. The same here. In AK you saw it change because PzC engine changed with each beta.

Eventually you misunderstood the screenshot: as VPaulus wrote it is the version of the main game not the version of the DLC 8. I'm not able to see the version of DLC8 in-game only the version of the main game PzC is shown on opening screen.
Look at Windows Explorer, it shows the installed version of main game and DLC (I'm bad: I did not de-install beta1 of DLC 8 and it works anyway)!

I have version 1.11 beta1 and DLC8 beta2 installed.

It's called 1.11 Beta 2. See Kerensky's changelog post in the forum. The main screen should reflect that it is 1.11 Beta 2, September 21, 2012. I am right and you are wrong.
