And one more annoying issue...

Post by bebro »

I just ran into a problem editing the eqp file, but it's a complete mystery to me.

I set up a mod to implement custom units, units with DCS skins etc. etc. long ago, and now wanted to change it using a fresh 1.10 eqp file using all those custom gfx.

For now I edited a number of my custom aircraft gfx into it to replace vanilla pics. Nothing else, no additional units, no other changes. But after activating the mod with GME, none of the edited aircraft are available at all. They also do not show up in the unit filters of the editor, regardless of filter settings.

Here's a part of my edited eqp file:

The unit names specified are present as gfx files in the mod's units folder:

Has anybody an idea what I am doing wrong? I did everything like I did lotsa times before when modding, and never had this prob. Or is there something special required for eqp edits under 1.10? Any help would be appreciated...

- Are the names of the units in the correct column of the efile?
- Delete your "project" folder in the GME Mod folder, and paste/copy a fresh your "project" folder into the GME Mod folder (i assume you maintain an-up-to-date backup)
- Re-install the v1.10
- Copy the unitname (without .png) from your efile into the unitname.png file (change name and paste)

Some ideas might be ridiculous, but i actually had to do all of those in the past when sometimes a unit doesn't show up at all in the editor.

Installed 1.10 again indeed, and started with another fresh eqp file from there. After adding a couple of entries (just the names before the .png extension) it *seem*s to work now.
*mumbles something about time lost and double work*

I hope that was it....anyway, thanks! :)

Hehe, modders fate indeed.

At least both USMC and IJA mods don't seem to suffer from anything strange :)
