In my case I used exactly the same beta serial than in Afrika Corps beta instead that one in the mail from yesterday. It worked fine for me. give it a try.

That never worked for me either. Something changed?

Yep tried everything and nothing works, I think they either sent me a password that is bad or not active.

I have the full version on the game installed. And had this exact same problem with the other Betas.

So did I and no mods helped. What's up with that?

I don't know about you guys but I think they are having a go at us at our expense. This should not happen with a beta. I think they have a few rogue mods that upper management needs to address on this site. They need to get their shit together. They've had my computer messed up with this shit. I had tech support take over my computer and they said my computer is 32 bit and the beta isn't???. These one day wonders on here are clueless. You're game will never work so stop wasting your time even though we love the game.

I guess we should never assume malice when ignorance remains a possibility. Remember that part of the point of BETA testing is not just testing the game play, but also to make sure it works adequately on a large array of set ups that our players might have. As sometimes requests for help get lost in lengthy threads, I would recommend creating a new thread asking for help and detailing your issues, and we'll see if we can't get someone to help and get everyone up and running properly.

No ignorance or malice this side of the fence but it is dejavue all over again from the last beta when no one resolved problem. Why will it be any different this time? Nothing more annoying when given a beta and you can't even get the game up and running?

The only thing I can do is to test if the serial is good or not. Those that wish me to test their serial beta numbers, please PM me.
That's the only thing that the "rogue" mods can do at this situation.
And another thing, this didn't happened with all the betas.

I don't think it is really fair to have a go at the moderators.
They don't necessarily have any way of helping effectively.
I have PMed my code to VPaulus for confirmation that I have a bad serial number.

I still think launching a beta on a Friday is poor planning.
Monday is better, even Wednesday would give a chance for beta testers to get up & running before the weekend when they might have a decent amount of quality time to get some testing done.

All this has done has added to frustration for quite a few folk.
What with that and the dissmissive 'thanks' displayed after the lengthy time & effort put into the Afrika Korps by most beta testers, I'm sorry to say it seems to me that this amateurish attitude stems from the top.

Sadly the old posts from AK-beta are no more available but I remember a post that all testers have the same serial.
I checked my elder eMails from AK-beta and it is still the same number.

But didn't found this post I remeber: is a serial for one user identical or one for complete beta-test?

These serial numbers are unique to you and private and must not be shared as we can trace them back to who we issued them to.

Hi guys,

sorry to anyone having problems but it absolutely is nothing to do with the moderators and if I see any posts suggesting as much you'll be immediately banned and removed from the beta.

At the moment I have no idea why this wouldn't work for some people and would for others. It should either work for all of your or fail for all of you.

Can you confirm
* You have installed PzC or AK on the machine before you tried to install the beta.
* You then installed the main beta (large file) with the serial number you were mailed for the beta
* You then install the DLC content (small file) with the serial number you were mailed for the beta

The installer wont let you install unless your serial number is valid so if the installer worked the serials are good.

The only reason for a crc error is if the game cant locate your main game installer or AK installer.

One additional thing to try is to remove the "PanzerCorps.txt" file which is placed in the install folder for the beta. This file should contain your main PzC serial or AK serial and if it doesn't (e.g. it contains your beta serial then it would be a problem). It could be that some people did not uninstall the old beta before installing the new one which is something you should always do but might not have been made clear this time round. This could have resulted in some files not being updated correctly depending ion your windows version and settings.

The beta has 2 installers, the main beta version and then the 42-43 West campaign expansion. It may seem a bit awkward to have 2 installers but it is structured this way so we can properly test how it would work in the real world. The serial number you have been issued works for all beta installers.

The other serial that it was provided me, from sgocart6298, the issue is local.

No, it was taken from an email entitled " Panzer Corps '42-'43 West Beta! "

I did try the other serial from the 'Commander' beta, but that wouldn't work either.
