I wonder if we will every see Panzer Corps on the Ipad if Apple sticks to this inane ruling that a game cannot: "15.3 “Enemies” within the context of a game cannot solely target a specific race, culture, a real government or corporation, or any other real entity". Seriously??? How do you portray historical events? They nixed Pacific Fleet unless they removed the Japanese Flags from the Map and units. I've not seen Battle Academy on the IPAD, how did they get past it there?

Hmm I never thought I would actually witness a REAL reason to call Apple retarded and have NO means for the fan base to offer rebutal.

this new "ultra autocratic autho-totalitarian political correctness" is really a blessing to modern civilization, isnt it ?

I'm going to guess that the key is the word "solely." As far as I can tell from the information available about "Pacific Fleet," you only play it from the US side, which makes Japan the only enemy--consequently, the game "solely targets" Japan. If the game were playable from either side, perhaps it would not have run afoul of Rule 15.3.kverdon wrote:I wonder if we will every see Panzer Corps on the Ipad if Apple sticks to this inane ruling that a game cannot: "15.3 “Enemies” within the context of a game cannot solely target a specific race, culture, a real government or corporation, or any other real entity". While I agree that this is a silly application of Rule 15.3, I can certainly understand why Apple has such a rule. Imagine if the morons behind the recent "movie trailer" about the Prophet Mohammed put together a tie-in "strategy game" and insisted that Apple make it available for the iPad. "Pacific Fleet" may not be the right place to draw the line--personally, I don't think it is--but the line has to be drawn somewhere, and Apple understandably wants to err on the side of caution.

I think the issue is they used the rising sun flag which is banned in Japan for the same reasons as the swastika is in Germany. As I understand all they have to do is remove the flag.
