Just to be 100% sure we did it correctly
- Test to advance : there is no definition but we decided that the test to be taken was only to come nearer to an ennemy unit . So no test would be required to retreat ( for SK ) or move sideways as long as you do not ADVANCE and/or come nearer to an ennemy unit .
- Retreat 3 MU : we supposed also from SK units
- SK in "extended line" : how do they fire ! I seem to remember a post about it but did not find it back .

Re: questions after a game
My understanding is an advance is a forward move, so if you are going backwards away from the enemy no test. I am sure Terry had posted something along those lines in the past.
At close range each half fires as separate unit, one half can support the other if no enemy to their front. Keep in mind skirmish get a - POA at close range, so increase the hit number.
I believe it was posted that you have to try to end 3 MU from all enemy, not just those that shot at you. If its tight you might only be able to move back 3 MU from the shooters, its happened to us before where friends are so close you can't move 3MU away from all the Froggies, so just dropped back 3 from shooters and as far as possible from any other enemies.Retreat 3 MU : we supposed also from SK units
Same as a normal extended line. You shoot as a single unit past short range, the center of the line being the aiming point of the unit for blocked fire. Being in extended line you will likely end up splitting more dice from so many targets.SK in "extended line" : how do they fire ! I seem to remember a post about it but did not find it back .

Re: questions after a game
you shoot as a what ever size unit you are using "each half of extended line" from the chart, or 4 dice per half for small and 6 dice per half for large unit.
The - POA for skirmishing will kick in as you are skirmishers shooting at close range.
For shooting at medium range you count as light infantry so 5 dice for small and 6 dice for large.
Remember that at medium range you shoot as a single unit, its only at close range you can shoot as two half units

Re: questions after a game
I've removed "skirmishers" as part of the same line as Squares on the new reference sheet. But how many dice : as for extend line or as SK ?
They now fire as either "Infantry in Tactical" or "Each 1/2 of extended line" when at close range.
NB. They still get a -POA for firing in skirmish formation at close range.
