OT...PG2 Music
Gotta question for the community
Does anybody have a copy of the music from the Allied Campaign in PG2 that they could share in MP3 format or know where I could download a copy of it?
It had bag-pipes in it and I loved the music, and found it both haunting and moving at the same time.
My personal copy of PG2 was lost some time ago and I've never tried to secure another copy because of the outrageous prices being charged for it
It would be for my own private use and would not be released to the public.
Anybody who is willing to share can drop me a pm
Thanks in advance and sorry for the totally off-topic post

There are plenty of links from a Google search - "Panzer General 2 music". I'm not sure exactly which one you want, though.

That's not stupid, man. It has taken me best part of 10 years working with IT to realise Google is my friend and can be used - judiciously - for many things. In fact, a survey done here recently showed kids go to Google before they go to their parents for answers to life's questions - now that's scary!
Re: OT...PG2 Music
I liked the PG2 German theme with the Wagner variation. I downloaded a version from youtube that has the Russian theme edited in to play in Panzer Corps.
Is there any way to have more than three songs in the Panzer Corps music file?

Not that I know of. I think it's hard coded
I made a PZC playlist up w/ windows media player and run that w/ the game music turned down.

I used GOLDWAVE. Open the file "ingame1,ingame2" and then copy and paste new songs in "ingame1" and to "ingame2" so i have my own sountrack in game.4kEY wrote: Is there any way to have more than three songs in the Panzer Corps music file?

Mongo, Here is a link with a CD with ALL of the Panzer General music themes.
http://www.kmmproductions.com/st_ssi.html
Here is a link with downloads:
http://hartmann.valka.cz/panzergeneral/media/eindex.htm
It's made by the music arranger who wrote and made the music himself.

Old Timer Panzer General fan. Maybe a Volksturm soldier now. Did they let Volksturm drive Panzers?

Goldwave is a nice program but if you want a free program to do that use Audacity.

Re: OT...PG2 Music
Which files in PC correspond to which sound files for PG3?Which files need to be renamed Ingame 12345 and will translate to Battle 123 HQ and theme? Thanks!
Re: OT...PG2 Music
The file which controls the sound and the animations in Panzer Corps, is the efx.pzdat. You can find it in Graphics subfolder.miller330i wrote:Which files in PC correspond to which sound files for PG3?Which files need to be renamed Ingame 12345 and will translate to Battle 123 HQ and theme? Thanks!

Re: OT...PG2 Music
I meant the music that plays on the background during battle and on the menus. I have the Panzer general music and would like to change it to that. I need to rename the files so that they will play at the correct time. What music file names match with Ingame1 Ingame2 Ingame3 Ingame4 Ingame5 (when do these files play during the game?) Example, which one of these plays during the menu? Thanks for teh quick response! Jeff
Re: OT...PG2 Music
The only music playing in the menu is called menu. The ingame files are played randomly.miller330i wrote:I meant the music that plays on the background during battle and on the menus. Re: OT...PG2 Music
Thank you VPaulus! I would love to chat with you when you have time through Skype. I am entering Medical College and I will have no time to set things up in PzC. I have to get it dialed in by Oct 1 my start date. This will be my only escape! My email is miller330i@yahoo.com if you have time to skype now. I will send you my Skype info if you write me there. Thanks for the help and explanation! Jeff
