Got a nicely painted army?

Post by IainMcNeil »

Up to now we have been using stock photographics from a huge catalogue made available by Wargames Illustrated but we suddenly thought of a great idea and an opportunity to get you more involved. We are preparing the photographs for the next two volumes of Field of Glory army lists.

How would you like photographs of your favourite figures to be used in the books. You will of course receive a credit. It does not matter if you actually did the paint work just that they are high quality pictures and that you own the photographs.

If you think you have any suitable pictures, or can take some, then contact us urgently. The must be pictures suitable for print quality of 300 dpi for about 2x2 inches in size (which equates to a photo that is around 600x600 pixels though the higher resolution the better). We're looking for individual figures or single bases. Make sure the photos are well lit, in focus and not over exposed. Daylight works well if you can find it in these short wintery days!

There will probably be some competition for the more popular slots so the more unusual your army the more likely your photos are to get in to the book. We look forwards to hearing from you :)

The armies in the upcoming books are;

Early Ottoman Turkish. 3
Later Ottoman Turkish. 5
Tatar. 10
Late Byzantine. 13
Later Russian. 17
Later Serbian. 20
Later Bulgarian. 23
Later Lithuanian. 25
Later Polish. 29
Later Teutonic Knights. 33

Middle Hungarian. 41
Moldavian or Wallachian. 44
Albanian. 48

Hussite. 55
Later Hungarian. 58

I could take some better quality pics of my armies if you like? My Later Hungarians and Thematic Byzantines have both wone best army at Cancon so are pretty good. Ive got Teutonics and the extras to make a Nikephorian Byzantine army too.

When do you need the pics by?
