British attack (as is specified in the screenmap capture). If you see 4 german flags then is an attack/defense. In a meeting engagement three central flags are neutrals at the begining of the battle.GottaLove88s wrote:1. Is Hillman a 26-to-20 British attack? Or a Meeting Engagement? All of the central flags start as German rather than neutral? Do your units come in from the other side? Or are you already waiting in the centre too? The flags confuse us...
I am not an expert in Normandy maps, so I based on GJS Close Combat Maps and books I've read about the battle. To this I add that the battle in BA be attractive and entertaining for both sides. I tried to simulate the map as I know... and can. But I can not use trenches (fundamental in this map) or foxholes, no wire, no mines. It is a flat map without houses, with few trees... so, what can I use then?GottaLove88s wrote:2. Bunker City. German Atlantic Wall coastal defences were a tribute to Hitler's paranoia and Rommel's genius. Serious interlocking bunkers, large and small, with deep communicating trenches. But once inland, it was a case of finding and tackling hidden ATGs, panzers, MG42s in wooded areas (scarily common) and villages (occasional), with scattered sandbagged fire points to defend high ground... We know this will probably come back to bite us, if and when it's our turn to defend Hillman, but perhaps there are too many bunkers? Six bunkers, of all sizes, in a 6x10 area, with nowhere to hide except the carefully mowed grass for miles around, looks more formidable than the Maginot (or Siegfried or Gustav) Line![]()

Your idea is quite good, but hard to carry out for me because next monday finish my holidays, and my spare time will drop drastically.I know is difficult to prepare an attack or defense without to know the map, but, as I said, you have to trust on me. I'll never make a map to benefit my side. I will try to prepare maps on hot areas asap. For example, Bayeux is almost done.
I think a good base to avoid surprises is take a glimpse to this url and these maps (final maps won't be exact, but can give you any idea)
