Re: UK Rankings
Hi Dave
Any chance of a rankings update on here as it seems still nothing is appearing on the BHGS site.
How can we post all the rankings so we can see more than the top 20?
Cheers

Re: UK Rankings
Ive now got the results for derby, the northern doubles and warfare. I will do the rankings at the weekend - this will also include bayfog and the scottish league.
I think the only comp then to add would be stockport and the scottish open?

I'll try to remember to keep the Scottish Open results next week. Hunter generally forgets to send them in I think.

Re: UK Rankings
As an interim measure whilst the BHGS website is being sorted out, the UK rankings are published here:
http://www.fieldofglory.com/resources
These are accurate at the end of December.
NB - as a result of a published change, the Lisbon team is based on the rankings at the end of August. I've already asked the top 10 of that list of their availability - but if anybody else wants a copy of the rankings then, please drop me a mail or a private email and I'll get them to you.

Re: UK Rankings
I would like to point out that they were reordered that way when we went from 6 comps counting to 4 counting for Rankings. For some reason the ones dave_r did less well in dropped from being majors. Not yet worked out how that occurred and neither did dave_r have any suggestions when I asked him how the majors were derived...
Re: UK Rankings
There's nothing like a good conspiracy theory. And this is nothing like a good conspiracy theory.
When the rankings were amended to take your four best scores, we had to reduce the number of majors / grand slam events so that it was less than four. We took the decision that Britcon and The Challenge were the biggest tournaments so they retained their higher priority (i.e. 120) all other events are ranked as 80. That means your ranking can be between 0 and 400. We then divide by four so it is an average of your four best tournaments.
If we maintained Roll Call, Warfare and Derby as "Major" events it could get tricky as that would mean you'd have to enter all four of these tournaments to get a full ranking - at the moment it's only Britcon and the Challenge and then any other two.
This was of course, all explained at the time....
