Bayfog IV
20/21 October 2012

Why be special..... When you can be average?

20 and 21st October 2012 at Fylingdales Village Hall in Robin Hoods Bay, North Yorkshire (YO22 4RA) 900pts Fog-am singles competition in 15mm

A fun event with a theme based around 'average joes' - any army list which does not contain compulsory superior or elite troops is valid. And the only troops which can be chosen/used have to be average or poor !!

(Ranking points will be scored if the new ranking system is in place by then)

Bring the wife/partner/boyfriend/other for a romantic weekend and let them wander the beaches of Bay and the trinket shops of Whitby- whilst you play toy soldiers.

We have a house to let that has 3 doubles and 3 twin beds at £395 for the weekend (for up to 3 nights) if you want to bring a group and self cater !

Free accomo for first car load to book from Scotland

So to confirm the rules for Bayfog are simply

900 points

only average or poor troops allowed on table.

Troops which dismount as superior can not dismount

If armies have compulsory superior troops that army can not be used

NO Inspired commanders allowed- just troop or field commanders

Army lists to paul@navigatorpr.com by 5 October

cost will be approx £15 each depending on numbers plus i will probably sort the buffet lunch out at the pub as before-
Hope that's all ok and look forward to seeing old and some new faces too- including a scots contingent and one from Durham too!

Hi Paul,

Hoping to make this one. What time do you start on Saturday and Sunday?

Also will probably stay in Scarborough as I have free accommodation. Do you know approximately how much it is to get taxi there?

Cheers

Great stuff

Scarbro is 15 miles from Robin Hoods Bay Its about 30 mins on the bus from the town centre. We start 9.30ish- 10am to allow chaps to travel from York and the north east. taxi will be £20 and therefore will be cheaper to stay local - otherwise get the bus- see arriva timetable

Results just in from the Average Joe tournament in Gautier:

Early Successor 1st and 2nd.

Damn I don't own a pike army !!

Rob

Update: They may have been split by a Medieval Portuguese as there was a player listed in last with an R which I assume may be Referee. His score was 2nd highest.

Referees in the Gulf Coast Championship Series play the bottom players if there is an odd number of players. The referee in our tournaments are not eligible to win their own tournament but receive bonus points in our ranking system for the largest tournament they run.

We are just about sorted for Bayfog this year. We are in the main hall downstairs at the village hall- so can accommodate loads of entrants!!. We are looking at around 18 - 20 so far which is brilliant and will make it all worthwhile.

Entry will be £20 . This will cover the room hire plus, like last year, it will include
* unlimited tea and coffee
* two lunchtime buffet spreads put on at the nearby Grosvenor Hotel.
* dancing girls throughout the day (got to keep up with Britcon!)

However Jon Smith won free entry as his prize last year so he gets in for nowt!

Hope that’s ok either pay on door or even better send a cheque to me

Hello,

Are many people planning to spend saturday night in Robin Hoods Bay?

If so is there a favourite B&B/Hotel?

Cheers
