Installing 2.1 in the vanilla version

Hi. I do not have the Gold edition disc of the game but the original vanilla. I had tried to install 2.1 to do some Beta testing many months ago but quit because I just couldn't get it to work. I just had a jack fixed on my computer and asked the computer guy to see if he could get the game running. He said something about the pathway being to the Gold version, not the version I had.

So here is where I am at. I have 2.1 extracted in my mod folder. Can anyone give me a dumbed down version of how to get 2.1 to run?

2.1 ... so you have the beta version? Is that correct? If so, PM me your email address and I'll send you the instructions for manually installing 2.1. If you're uncomfortable with manual installation then you can wait for the 2.1 installer coming out shortly.
