I think the spacings(tabs) for both Hs-129 entries(Hs-129.png and Italian_Hs-129.png) are wrong and this is causing the planes to do nothing(animation and sound) when attacked by fighters, even though they have proper sound and animations when attacking ground targets. Or at least that`s what my experience has been.
The following bombers use AirDefense2 even though there is no such audio or animation file included in the game: Piaggio_P.108.png, Potez_63.11.png, SM.79.png, Stirling_Mk.I.png. It causes them to not display sounds and visuals when defending from other aircraft.

Only if it wasn't their intention to give two different attack sounds for HS-129. Otherwise the space (tab) is correct, only it's missing a defence sound.Mark50 wrote:I think the spacings(tabs) for both Hs-129 entries(Hs-129.png and Italian_Hs-129.png) are wrong and this is causing the planes to do nothing(animation and sound) when attacked by fighters, even though they have proper sound and animations when attacking ground targets. Good catch. Even when I was editing my sound mod, I didn't notice it.Mark50 wrote:The following bombers use AirDefense2 even though there is no such audio or animation file included in the game: Piaggio_P.108.png, Potez_63.11.png, SM.79.png, Stirling_Mk.I.png. Thanks.
Re: Minor bugs in efx.pzdat in v1.10
I`m not sure what you meant. What I was saying is that between Hs129_1 and Hs129_2 is only one tab instead of 3(like most aircraft seem to have) and that between Hs129_2 and air1 are 5 tabs instead of 3. Either way, the point was that in game the plane was not shooting when attacked by other aircraft and that after I`ve changed the spacings as described, it started shooting in air combat too.VPaulus wrote: Only if it wasn't their intention to give two different attack sounds for HS-129. It was actually there in the previous version too and I had reported it via a PM, but since I got no reply and the thing wasn`t fix I thought I`d make a public post so people can fix it by themselves at least.Good catch. Even when I was editing my sound mod, I didn't notice it.
Re: Minor bugs in efx.pzdat in v1.10
The first three positions(tab) are for attacking sounds for when your air unit is attacking. The next three positions(tab) are for defence sounds, when your air unit is being attacked and answering back. I don't know if it was their intention to supply two attack sounds to Hs129 (both _1 and _2) or it was like you said, one was for attacking and another for defending.Mark50 wrote: I`m not sure what you meant. Ah, I understand that you mean now! Anyway, it isn`t working as it is so one way or another they`ll have to tackle it.

At least, I will fix them in my sound mod.Mark50 wrote:Ah, I understand that you mean now! Anyway, it isn`t working as it is so one way or another they`ll have to tackle it.
