Thanks to my Guardian Angels of Panzer Corps! I got the download and the first thing I go to is "naturally by instinct" the graphics. I was looking forward to a "KILLER" Grossdeutschland icon. This one is lame I am sorry to say. Infantry all with rifles and a short barreled Stug..................

Yeah..as I said..modders buisness is ungrateful...you just finish a huge job and then a add-on or big patch screws you over...
Well, I think it´s not bad luck. Ostfront runs well under 1.10 but the String-Bug kills the game. All citys are renamed after each save and load.
When the bug is fixed we will upload a 1.10 patch for Ostfront. The patch will only be about 10MB. So it´s up to the developers to fix the bug, DMP is ready for 1.10!

Don´t cry, you will love your Grossdeutschland. In my test Grossdeutschland killed more than 150 units during the game.

Sorry DMP guys, but I don't use icons that don't appeal to me and this one doesn't. Why not use a decent looking StugIII G with an L/48 gun instead of a lame StugIII A with an L/24 gun? Then add a couple of PzGrenadiers with automatic weapons that look aggressive like you do in other infantry icons? Or better yet, make a StugIII G with skirts and two or three Panzer Grenadiers riding on it!

is there any way to enjoy this mod without changing original graphics? Copying Data folder from Ostfront to my Mods folder is enough to fully experience campaign or it will be messed up?
Thanks.

Its not so easy..
We changed some other files (in UI folder, Graphics/Animations...).
And the units, not available in original game would make some trouble.

You could use the Ostfront-Mod, copy the original graphics in the Graphics/Units. But the animations only fit with the DMP-units.

Perhaps the quickest solution is to copy your "mothership" and perhaps NOT UPDATED Panzer Corps game files to another place on your hard drive and name it something different so that you will note it is 1.05 Panzer Corps. Then you can plug in the GME to it and have it freestanding to accept all mods and add on applications that do NOT require adjustment. You will have two complete Panzer Corps games on your computer. I do this all the time so that when I am tweaking, changing or modding, if there is an error or foul up, I will still have an original and updated Panzer Corps game on my computer. It's easy to separate and duplicate if you have more than one hard drive on your computer (which I do). I have a Mothership PzC game file updated and fully loaded on one drive and several others in other parts and drives on my computer to do mods and experiments. I think of it just like the mother Alien in the movie and all my other "children" are in other areas of my computer.

Thanks for replies, but the point was how to play with original graphics (no offense DMP team, you did an amazing job but I still prefer original). Seems like original tiles are modified and doesn't fit to original ones...Is there any way to fix except changing it manually at editor?
And yeah, I have 1.10 version.

I'm afraid that you'd have to remake all map with the original tiles.

oh too bad :(
I'd love to have 'light' version of this mod with only campaign files remade to fit original PzC...

That is the best reason to have more than one hard drive in your computer. One for EACH version of PZC. Isolation is the key.

No need to have more than one physical Hard Drive... One HD can be partitioned in two or more logical drives. I personally find very useful to use one (smaller) partiotion for the OS and then one ore more used to documents, games, etc...

By the way, I was thinking in setting up a second PzC installation just for playing Ostfront and Winterkrieg mods... The question is: Are those mods to be played in v1.05b of the game, or can they be executed in v1.10?

That would not help kop101, in this matter.

You don't need to have a second PzC installation. Just use GME and you can have every mod, and every Panzer Corps version in a single installation.
DMP mods, are not fully compatible with 1.10. I'm not sure, but I think they will launch an update after the next Panzer Corps patch.

Ok, but my current game installation is patched to v1.10... so I suppose in this special case I will need to make a new installation of v1.05, right?

Right.
That's why I always I sugest to use GME. Before any patch I just copy all the files related with the previous version to the GME MODS folder. Only after that I patch the game.
So when I need a previous version I just enable it in GME like if it was a mod.

Hi,
Has anybody else experienced this problem with Ostfront 2 :?:
The Briefing and the Header Tabs are all written in German for the older 'Army Group North'. Strangely, the new part is in English though :!:
Any ideas how to put this right :?:
Many thanks,
Richard.

Hallo!

The header for the briefings are in german. We didn't translated the "scenario-names", for example: "Der Fall von Moskau".
The tabs for changing in the briefing-screen to the battlemap and uniform should be in english and only available for HGM.

Hi fsx,

The different tabs at the top are all in German, and so is the written briefing telling you what to do.
What is HGM :?:
