I just want to point out that my efiles are optimized very specifically for use only for the GCs, and are solely balanced around those campaigns. I think they should work well for the most part here, but tweaks are almost certainly necessarily to ensure optimal gameplay.

Also just fyi the gamerules.pzdat for each year is an integral component of the efile.

If using those efile, you should definitely get v1.05b of Panzer Corps.exe and have a save game of the last turn of your scenarios, to reload just in case.

At first yes, but since not all e-files are done yet, i started anew. So, the version with Deducter's efiles will be later.
In a nutshell v2.0 offers:
-More Heer units, might get more depending on v1.06.
-More SS units, incorporated from SS-GTPG
-More different kinds of capturable units
-Bonus units are SS and capturable units
-Axis minor core units (and upgradeable with units of its own nation)
-Some maps from v1.0 are scraped, but there are also new ones
-A North Africa branch after France, which was unfortunately not possible in v1.0
-A threeway branch at the start of operation Barbarossa for 1941

Ah, excellent, NKVD

What do the Wiking and other "Elite" (not SE....unless they are) units offer? Any inrease in price and stats?

The Wiking units are the volunteers from the german occupied territories who joined the german army (mainly west and north europe).
Wiking upgrades within its own family is cheaper than upgrading to Heer units for example, as this was already the case with the SS units. There is also a smaller bunch of "Azul" units (spanish volunteers).
It is an attempt to put some extra flavor and purchase choices into the mod.

Wiking and SS units have different stats but are not necessary the same, but both are more expensive and have better stats than the Heer units.
Ofcourse a core full of those buffed units might be tempting to acquire and so i try to keep that in mind for the scenario's in the USSR. At a certain point the player will come across the "guard" units.
I expended that database, now including tanks and selfpropelled artillery who are "more red then dead" than the other "regular" units. I gave those tanks and artillery a different camo for better distinction.
And it might be weird at times to destroy captured german tanks by the Soviets.

The 1939-1940 scenario's are less "cluttered" (i never forgot El Condoro's remark) and should give players a better blitzkrieg feeling. When Barbarrossa starts, scenario's as Baltic States (gruppe Nord) and Smolensk (gruppe Mitte) should give a similar feeling while Bessarabia (gruppe Süd) provide a more difficult initial breakthrough.

Just finished UK '40 on 21st turn. Awesome map, and the beginning was real fun, but after taking London I kept preparing for British offensives that never happened. There could have been second, third wave armor, troop, air and naval offensives, as well as partisan activity.

Great campaign so far, Nico. I am liking the new railroads too.

The railroads are a good idea, it actually never crossed my mind (as an old PG fanatic). I might still implement a few late scenario changes and the better briefings, but further development i no longer foreseen. For England40, from most feedback i received, is hard enough as it is. But i imagine that for some players like you, it is still a bit too easy ;).

I think the briefings are good so far, even entertaining. I like the "world is ours" vibe

edit: I'm glad you added Spain and Gibraltar. The potential consequences of seizing Gibraltar pale in comparison to the consequences of not. IMO. The world that mattered already believed Hitler to be insane, saving diplomatic face didn't seem to serve a purpose...alongside his misplaced loayalty and admiration for Britain.

What do you think?

There was some debate when Spain was added, then I scripted the possibility to ommit this scenario. To name some differences between v1.0 and 2.0 is the abscence of Sweden and Spain. Instead, after Gibraltar the choice will be presented to either move to the Balkans or to North Africa. North Africa is not available in v1.0 caused by the unavailability of desert tiles. I hope to fill that gap in v2.0. Nothing too fancy and definately no attempt to compete with the official AK add-on.

The available briefings at this time is up to Moscow 41, afterwards it is what i wrote. But all briefings will receive a decent remake by someone far more experienced in narration than myself.

By all means compete, Nico!

Give them a run for their money, as it were - no pun intended

More capturable units for GTPG v2.0.

Image

(most) capturable units can appear as an SS bonus unit!

Scenario's done sofar:
Gdansk, Westerplatte, Gdynia (new scenario), Warsaw, Brest (new scenario), Narvik, Norway, Holland, Belgium, France, Guernsey (new scenario), Gibraltar (at the end you can chose between North Africa or the Balkans), Balkans41, Crete (at the end you can chose for Heeresgruppe Nord, Mitte or Süd), Baltic41 (new scenario), Staraja Russa (new scenario), Leningrad (new map), Tikhvin (new scenario), Smolensk (new scenario), Kiev, Moscow41, Winteroffensive Moscow.
The scenarios brought over from GTPG v1.0 are (partially) rescripted because of the larger unit database.

Another big thanks to Flak and Rezaf for the camo Sprayshop and to Bebro for the Spitfire I with german markings. The Spitfire was enthousiastically welcomed by the testplayers :)

Can I have the gray icons for these, Nico? I've been waiting for someone to do captured versions of these for a while.

edit: I checked some of the other threads and think I've found how to do it. Did you make these in the "experimental DCS"?

Yes, i made them with the camo Sprayshop.
Some of the units, i had to manually add the Balkenkreuz. Just to give you a head's up.
I'll pack em and rack em and send you a link.

I can surely add the polish unit. I had to look on polish wiki where they were stationed more or less. So the unit will be added in both scenarios, Norway and Narvik.
It will take some time until v2.0 is released. Fortunately i have 6 people helping me out with testing, bug hunting, and so on.

The Command Vehicle (unlocks reinforcements from time to time, searches enemy depots, sometimes needed to meet a condition to be victorious)

Image

The vehicle is now upgradeable, so it can serve in the frontline with the other units.
