Chraging through Skirmishers question

From a game yesterday....

A unit of Heavy Dragoons charges through some skirmishing Hussars from their own division. The enemy cavalry counter-charges forcing the Hussars to evade through the dragoons (who pass a cmt to remain in good order) who then move forwards to meet the enemy.


Did we do this correctly ?

No, you cannot charge through a unit of cavalry (even if it is skirmishing and in the same division) - see page 29, 2nd bullet point.

I keep telling you, it would do you know end of good to READ the rules...and the errata of course.

The brilliant structure of the text of course p28 the first indented bullet can only be ready in context of the section on page 29 referenced.

Reminds me of the M*A*S*H skit about defusing the bomb.
