ottoman later army [ eternal empire ]

i wish ask because ottoman army seems so low powered ( more powerful hungarians and catalans )

the timariots are the one good unit of army for "superior" experience and armour but very high price ( 18 ) and i'm surprised to see janissairs swordsmen and medium infantry because they were the elite of army and they were heavy lancers too ( alabards and spears ). janissairs in game seems not well tough and limit of 8 max is too. MMany western armies are based on powerful heavy cavarly..because max 3 pieces of defensive lancers and because only 2 jaylars that they are very good to broke spear walls of catalans ?

You might find this earlier discussion interesting, archita. I agree that the Ottoman army is relatively weak in FOG against its historical adversaries. The cavalry do not have lances, for the most part, but often they do not have enough space to move around and shoot in. Also, they often built fortifications for their infantry but in FOG you can only deploy these near your own baseline rather than nearer to the middle of the map . . .
