One question that I was asked and could not answer definitively with the rules was: Do 2nd rank missile troops provide overhead shooting support at impact when in terrain that would only allow one rank to shoot? A related question would be can the archers from a mixed BG with archers only in the second rank shoot if in terrain that only allows one rank to shoot?
Other than that I think the rules held up pretty well. There will need to be some clarifications to cover obscure circumstances but the new players seemed to get to grips of the rules very quickly and mostly I think had a great time. Bob Amey may have a different opinion though as his poor Assyrians got to fight Medieval French twice and were steamrollered twice
