TYW Frenchmen for moi ....

I've not really managed to be particularly succesful with anything else I've picked so far, so the process of elimination continues unabated ...

He'll have his sneaky later 30YW Frenchies with those dratted Dragoons in 2's! They look a tempting target but Ben's wat too clever to let you gang up on one and you always end up splitting your shooting and doing nil damage! Oh and watch out for his Swedish Allies.

A cunning man is our Mr Jones - he should be a teacher!!

I am still missing lists from:

G R Briggs
Lance Flint
David Allen
Matthew Poole
Jacques Destremau

(Named and shamed - sorry, I don't have all your e-mail addresses to contact you personally, and it would not be fair only to "shame" those whose e-mail address I lack)

And yes, I have your list Matteo, but haven't checked it yet - had to finalise my own list before looking at anyone else's.

From the list of Britcon entries, I see the multi-talented Alasdair Harley is entered in both FOGN and FOGR.

This can only mean one of 3 things:-

1 He is finding the challenge of winning the FOGR competition so easy, that like a Russian Chess Grand Master, he will be playing multiple games, darting between both tables and playing both games so Alasdair can be the first multi period winner in Britcon history in one year.

2. He will use his surrogate clone, known to the wargaming fraternity as Paddy Bray, to sit at the FOGN table awaiting instructions to do as he's told, referring any tactical or decision making questions to Alasdair at the appropriate moment .

3. He has entered Paddy for FOGN (he does everything for Paddy - unhealthy thought) and BHGS haven't updated Paddy's name.

The plot thickens!!! Oh to be there (unfortunately St Lucia calls!).

Basically he's a trogladyte so doesn't do any of this internet stuff so I had to enter for him

To be fair to Paddy he slaughters me at Napoleonic so he's more than able to make his own decisions, though it does mean he has forgotten all the renaissance rules (mainly because there are so many napoleonic rules) to the extent that last weekend he arrived 1/2 way through game 2 (he had work in the morning), I give him a wing of troops he ask what they are I say Pistol sword, next thing I know he's moved all his cavalry within 2inches and is shooting the Japenese who obliging take a base of, I point out pistol at impact not shooting, the japenese base goes back and now all my cavalry on his side of the table is within 2 inch of the enemy not where it should be at all, then In Paddy fashion he gets away with it and routs a couple of the Japenese units facing him in melee, as Napoleon says its all about being a lucky general and Paddy is certainly that

look forward to seeing everyone at Britcon

cheers
