Per-object function calling

Post by enric »

Hey Pip, are you well?, many days without your good services, I hope you're in holidays.

The "Per-object function calling" in your task list, means that there will be a, or some functions to deal with objects in the map?.
I would like to have the option to check if a engineer is over a obstacle, like a block, tank traps, etc, and if after several turns, or circumstances, the blocking object can be removed from map, so allowing the vehicles go through.

You can already have units or orders check the map and action objects. The per-object function calling will allow you to place an object and have it then execute some small chunk of code - a good example would be a mine object or boobytrap. Meaning you wouldn't need to have scripting in every mission, just set up the object correctly and then place it on the maps you wish to use it on.

Cheers

Pip
