Southern lend lease route to USSR

Hi,

I understand that Persia can be annexed by the allies thus opening up the southern lend lease route to the USSR with 15PPs/turn.

Is there any way this can this be attacked/disrupted?

Does invading/conquering parts or all of Persia disrupt the 15PPs/turn in any way?

Yes, you need to take Basra IIRC.

Hmmm, this may need some clarification. I searched the GS 2.1 manual but did not find a clear answer. I had assumed that the 15 PP's continue until Persia surrenders to the Axis (Tehran falls).

O.K here's how Lend Lease works. 15 PP's is "sent" from the UK (if unconquered) or the USA (if UK is conquered and the US is at war and unconquered) to Russia at the start of every allied turn if all of the following conditions are met:

(1) The UK is unconquered, or if it is, then the US is at war and unconquered.

(2) The USSR is at war and unconquered.

(3) Persia is at war and unconquered.

So Lend Lease stops forever if Persia is ever conquered. Of course it would stop if both the UK and US were conquered or if the Soviet Union was conquered.
