AK2 editor crashes when opening existing scenario

Normally I can open all scenarios even if there are issues with existing settings not matching expected values but not with AK beta2.

This is what I get:

I'm getting that message even without opening any scenario.

I opened several Vanilla maps and a few DLC scenarios with BETA2, I could not re-create this error.
Which scenarios did you try to open?

Exactly. New and probably AK scenarios will open - the editor is not unusable, but my scenarios from Maelstrom cannot be opened. I have done a lot of modding work so I anticipated problems, but the last editor in AK1 was able to open them.

Probably when I open it for the first time, it was open an old saved scenario.
So this happens with any scenario which was made previously.

So in place of black map we get a CTD?

I used the scenario editor from v1.05 to create all my maps (for GTPG). I haven't tried the editor that came with AK yet but intend to check it out soon. I'll keep you posted.

I checked the new editor with GTPG v1.0 and v2.0.
GTPG v1.0 uses stock units and terrain only and i found no error in several scenario's that i loaded into the editor.
GTPG v2.0 uses custom units and stock terrain, loaded into GME first but then when i open any of those scenario's, the custom units are not in the unit list and are shown as "invalid unit" on the map.
Probably i will need to install GME into the beta2 directory and then try again.

In case anyone was worried , I have resolved (I hope) this issue, at least for my mod. It used to be that I could open the scenarios even when the mod was not installed via the GME; now I have to make sure to install the mod first. A better option, anyway. Everything seems OK at this point.

That might have been the case that have happened with me.

I do get some error window as posted in the first window when i try to load a pad image (a bmp file in this case) into the editor. Then i pressed ignore and i could start making a map.
