Knowing a bit of history might be an advantage here.

Two attemps needed on FM level,

First stalled at Tobruk as I lost precious units there.

Seccond attemp was quite easy, feels much like my history knowings.

If you respect it, it shouldn't be much of a problem.

I noticed that the stuka was not resuppling untill the second turn if it was on a hex next to a airfield. apart from that a great 1st senario. Keep up the good work.

RIF Beta2
Colonel

I didn't use the open core slot at the start. Soon i regretted that but still i was curious if i could make it or not. In turn 2 i lost the PzIIC. It was a relief that the first Hur I was not at full strength, i had no problems to get rid of it. I took care of the second Hurricane with the 88 (luckily in range), the SdKfz 10/4 and the italian fighter.
At turn 4 i almost lost the PzIIIG at Mechilli for taking it to close. The advance along the coast is pretty easy with 2 italian infantry, an italian recon and tank and 1 piece of artillery. The rest of the forces go to Mechilli except for 2 german inf and a recon to move towards Bardia and Sollum with the assistance of the Bf110. Once i captured Derna, i attacked Mechilli from both sides and took it on turn 14. I took the last objective, Bardia, on turn 16.

Losses: PzIIC (core), AB40 (aux)
DV 16/16, 1316PP

Version 1.10beta2

Is the gain of prestige changed in PC-AK?
Before capturing Benghazi I had a prestige of 402 points.

I encountered a 'Fog of War' error in this Scenario.

Just started Beta today - vers. 2. On opening of turn, I can see AAA at Benghazi airfield 3 hexes away, no recon or air units in vicinity or moved yet. Re-loaded scenario from autosave and still there.

Sorry for poor screen capture. Trying to learn to do that efficiently. Pointers on that appreciated.

FRAPS is a good free application for in game screen capture.

It is pretty user friendly too.

Played now the scenario in the 2.0 version. Seems pretty much same to me as before. The bigger trigger ring for the pop up around Tobruk is definitively an improvement. The pop up texts are a lot more clear now too. All in all the scenario seems fine to me as it is.

Reconnaissance in Force
BETA 2
General level
Replacement philosophy: 90%+ of the time I use elite replacements, even during battle,I usually only use normal for low experience units that don't suffer a huge experience drop with normal replacements or if my prestige is especially critical.
Ending prestige 555
DV on turn 16/16
No unit losses

This scenario now seems to be magnificently balanced and a good starter. I found getting a decisive to be quite difficult, only getting one on the very last turn. I really like the new tiles around the coast, very lovely.

I started playing on General when Beta 2 came out.

So I start new campaign in Beta 2 as Colonel since, that's what I used in the first campaign.

Bought 88mm
Lost my AB40
lost 5 points on the Stuka, later lost it in game, Italian fighter still alive
Moved and lost my core 232 Rad, but that is okay as it shook up the AI to move and break up the defense structure
only use regular reinforcements except 2x for heavy infantry
DV with 4 or more turns left
1427 prestige is what I started with on the next map

Turn 1 I lose the 37mm atg, use my prestige to buy a flak 88 instead, can shoot down planes and works great on enemy tanks too  I normally get an extra artillery when I can afford it, comes in handy to reduce the Brits in the cities. I have also found if you send the flak 88 to the airfield to the south of Tobruk you can shoot up any fighters that are over the Tobruk airfield, AI will continue to repair them so they don't attack your forces. Worked in beta 1, seems less RAF so far in beta 2 so not sure if it would still work.

I played several times on Colonel, although I load and save regularly. First attempt was DV 14/16, so it's not a very hard level I guess. Overall a nice introduction level, especially the changing of objectives. The Allied airforce is balanced just right, enough to give you trouble if you're careless. Sometimes the artillery near Mechili (16,8) starts trucking off towards the front lines, making the taking of the city a lot easier. I found taking Sollum and Bardia very easy (I was fearing a breakout from Tobruk and getting caught near Gambut). To make it a bit harder, maybe the artillery near Sollum could be placed at (29,11) with it's present location occupied by a small blocking unit, to make the last few turns more challenging?

Beta 3 Recce in Force

Level Played: Manstein
Starting Prestige: 335 Ending: 350. net: negligble
Result: MV
Purchased IV/E to start, which made it more manageable. Non-elite replacements used.

With weak initial armour and artillery, DV on Manstein does not look possible here! Hopefully we’ll upgrade and get the campaign on track when we can suppress better.

· The map looked better. The escarpments were changed subtly I think. An error though on the Via Balbia s. of Benghazi (5,8 and 5,9). The road is not contiguous; it fades out on the southern hex border on both. Also hexes 17,4 and 17,5 – same issue, different orientation.
· The messages looked and felt better.

Beta 3 Playing FM. A neat improvement was the message of welcome from Johannes Streich, CO of the 5th Light. A little touch of authenticity that makes a big difference imo. I also appreciated that you're making a concerted effort to name specific units, instead of the generic "1st Panzer IIC." Everything else seemed much as the beta 1 version, (I have to admit that I never got a chance to play the beta 2 version before you brought out 3) but again I repeat, little details add up and make a big difference to playability. I still find it a bit tedious, but the names seemed to make me more cautious with some of the units so it was a bit more challenging.

This message was in scenario from day one but it was not showed due to technical difficulties. They are now removed but other scenarios require update so all messages could be removed from AI turn. It will make a lot of difference.

Playing at FM level, Beta 4.
I love the new intro! Great graphics guys. Everything else seemed much as before. I didn’t notice any real difference between this and beta 3.
