Error Royal Army of Italy 1812 ?

Post by Ambiorix »

Hi,

Just received my copy of ToN and at first glance am overall very satisfied with the (many) lists;
I am pleased to see that the 1812 Russians can now field 4 divisions instead of 3 as initially listed in the rulebook.

However on page 52, my favourite Italians (and their wretched French counterparts) are all classified - in bold - as unreformed; Surely this is a typo and if not I am very curious in hearing the argumentation for this.

cheers,
Martin

PS : my wife is also very pleased with the book, as it will keep me quite at least for the next few days :)

It is a typo. They are reformed (the points costs in the list are correct)

The only problem you have Martin is that your army is 25 mm, mine 15 mm, JILU's 15MM....

I put my 25mm on 40x40 bases with 4 figures. Works great. Play it all the time using 15mm MUs. YOu can even have 25mm vs 15mm battles easily. Also looks and feels great.

If someone wants a literal 60x40 basd game of 25mm then you just use 6 bases to represent 4.

Interesting concept... David versus Goliath.

What about the other way around, 15mm based as 28mm (6 bases for a small unit), this will have a greater visual effect of 'masses'.

et alors Jacques... do you dare to face my 'superior' troops with your numerous 'vertical challenged' hordes ? :twisted:

ok, I pick up the glove....at , say... Borodino :

My Russians are almost rebased, half on 4x4 bases and half on 6x4 bases (so I am flexibel to host a '15mm based game or a 28mm based game), up to you; My Germans and Italians still need rebasing so won't be available for a while.

Martin

just send me a proposition to my personal mail
