The first hyperlink with flash presentation is excellent!

I glanced at that (the first posted/flash one) to see what it was like. It was so impressive I watched it all. A really engrossing way they layered the geography, timeline, events, interviews, etc. A really skilled presentation.

I forwarded it to my girlfriend; she's from the former Soviet Union. She's only 31 but believe me, still DEEPLY steeped in the history of The Great Patriotic War. ! She thought it was pretty amazing, too. She said the name of the site ("Pobitebly" (sp?)) means "Victors" in Russian.

I was astonished by the quality of this, however they do not explain what we all know in the West.

In th epresentation they said the Wehrmacht stopped its march on Moscow in September 1941 because Hitler thought that Leningrad was more important to seize for prestige reasons!!!

Very strange, we all know Hitler stopped Guderian to encircle 650.000 Soviet soldiers in Kiev (pockets in the Ukraine), so in the southern part of the front, only then Hitler authorized Guderian to resume his offensive on Moscow in October 41 (Operation Typhoon). Sorry but this has nothing to do with Leningrad in the North. Why is this part skipped (the fact that Guderian pleaded his cause in Rastenburg to keep attacking Moscow without taking care of his Southern flank and Hitler refused because he wanted to seize Ukraine first) ?

For the rest I loved the movie and I learnt that even in 1941 SOviet long range bombers bombed Berlin! I was totally unaware of this.
