That's not 2Q 2012...
Re: HEADS UP PEOPLE
..as per the "Coming Soon" :31/07/2012-----which depending upon which side of the pond one resides upon has been the debate as month-day-year vs day-month-year and is one of those things that only wars can settle!
Re: HEADS UP PEOPLE
In the slitherine or lordz press conference last month, the release date for Afrika Korps was listed as 2nd quarter, 2012. End of second quarter 2012 would be June 30, 2012. As such, the release date has already been pushed back a month from the original announcement just a month ago. I would not be surprised to see it delayed again.
Re: HEADS UP PEOPLE
Beta hasn't started yet.
Re: HEADS UP PEOPLE
The description on http://www.thelordzgamesstudio.com/site ... ika-korps/ includes now a list of scenarios

There are a couple of ahistoricals in there - so in this regard it seems to move away from the DLC line, going more into the direction of the vanilla campaign. Too bad release is pushed back, but better they make it right instead of rushing it....Reconnaissance in Force, Ras el Mdauuar, Brevity, Battleaxe, Dash to the Wire, Second offensive, Gazala Line, Malta, Alam Halfa, Suez Canal, Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Basra, Iran, Caucasus, Arabia, East Africa, On Road to India, British India, El Alamein, Kasserine Pass, Mareth Line, Tunisian Bridgehead
Re: HEADS UP PEOPLE
May be the plan is to expand the initial campaign with an alternate tree parallel to russia, which ends up in british india in 1943 - followed by a moscow 43 and then the push to the US ?
Whilst in the GC AK tree the future scenarios might not show up ?
I personally think I would like this.

Re: HEADS UP PEOPLE
Given that Beta hasn't started yet I'd like to make a quick request for 5 features for consideration for adding to the game:
1) Previously mentioned ability to mod Mainstein Difficulty to make it other than +5 strength - or better yet an ingame custom difficulty level with loads of sliders.
2) A cheat code to allow the purchasing of SE units
3) Greater visual feedback for heroes. I value +move, +range, and +spot because their effects are constantly visible. The effects of +att, +def, and +ini on the otherhand are somewhat unoticeable. I know exactly which of my infantry units have a +move hero for example or which of my artillery has +range. I couldn't tell without looking up (and would soon forget) which of my tanks had a +att hero. Would it be possible to run two sets of combat results for the same set of randomly generated numbers: one based on the unit without bonuses; the other the actual results with the bonuses included. IF the results differ, display some unobtrusive floating text to highlight the difference like "Fdwl Fritz heroically inflicts +1 damage" or "Major Hans seizes the initiative" or "Corporal Joachim's defenses prevented 2 losses" - just something to give positive feedback that yes this unit is different for having this hero.
4) Greater stats recording. Ideally I would love to see the casualty table track **wounds** as opposed to **total** kills which I think would result in it not being so lopsided as it currently is. I would also really like the units to keep track of losses.
5) Standard "how about giving players the ability to reform dead units with 0 experience but medals, kills, and history intact.
