PzIV, now with free Sherman!

Hi Guys,

Great job on the points buy system. I've played a few battles now and think the Axis forces certainly have the advantage so you may want to consider adjusting those a bit.

But the reason for my post was the most interesting thing happened. When I went to start a recent game, I noticed one of my PzIV's had a passenger icon so out of curiosity I unloaded it. Turned out to be a Sherman?! (obviously captured as I got to control it). Not sure what happened there.

Another thing to note; in targeting for an artillery strike I designated a target then changed my mind and cancelled. My next turn, I noticed the spot was still targeted so I cancelled again...next turn, same thing. I ended up simply targeting somewhere else and that seems to have corrected it....but thought you might want to know.

Thanks - can you try this out again in a new version of the scenario and see if any of these things are repeatable?

Thanks Ian, I'll try to set it up to see if it happens again...though, I'm guessing it was just some weird fluke.

For the record, the commandeered Sherman is fighting very well!

Hey Brummbar, Good game. That treacherous lil' Sherman certainly earned his Knights Cross with Oak Leaves... Snapshot to prove it really happened (although I'd love to know how you did it?)

Game was Winter Village Redux 2.0.4 (Allies playing on iPad 2, Brummbar were you Mac or PC?).

Ok got it - we'll have to see if we rebuild everything and fix in this update or go with it in and fix in the next version.

Thanks Iain, Probably a rare fluke as it's only happened once in several games. Fix can wait until next update. Kinda cool tho, right? PS. But, hey man, why couldn't it happen the other way? With me (the weak and feeble Allies) getting a free King Tiger transported inside a Sherman? Now that's what I'm talking about...

Just to let you know Ian, I'm playing this one as the Axis again and sure enough, the sherman is again being transported on one of my PzIV's.

Yes I can see why - it will be 100% repeatable if you have the right tank.
