Elephants and disordered mounted.

Post by moncholee »

Hello, we had a game last night where a Carthaginian army fielded a BG of elephants. The rules say that any mounted are disordered if less than 1 base width from elephants (the whole BG becomes disordered, I suppose). Does this apply just to enemy mounted, or does it also affects friendly ones?

A BG was charged from the rear while fighting at its front. Eventually it broke. Does it rout bisecting the enemy BGs and so does it turn 90 degrees and flees, or is it destroyed? In case it turns, it could be necessary to push the enemy bases to make room. Would it push the bases i twas fighting at its front or at its rear?

Regards,

Javier.

No both sides to keep it simple. Not so clear Indian horses like Elephants much either. But DISORDER is done by BASES so only ther bases are effected. Thus El hitting an offset line might cuase no mritable effect. If you get 4 in front of 8 mt your dirorder them all which is the best. 2 BGs of Elephants together is the very best. But nothe whole BG. Note that even with 1 base dirordered the whole BG does count any -s if taking CTs or CMTs.

It bisescts the angle for initial rout so would run sideways. IF it can't complete a rout move by normal evade means - see all details inthe rules - it gets removed. Decent chance this might happen in such a situation.
