2.0.4 scenarios

Post by enric »

Now the scenarios are much, much better!!.
  • More points available
  • More units type
  • No sudden death !
  • Seems balanced
I do not play yet agains others, just myself, playing both sides to check units, I did not check the map issues...
The minor thing found is when surrender, sometimes I'm getting a Victory, o Objectives Completed message, if one side surrender….
In one scenario the allied begins with a flag, and the german none (not important but just to put on record).

Finally, because probably this is the good one :D , I wonder several things about these scenarios.

It's possible or, if it's technically possible that:
  • The player who inits the challenge decide the total points for both sides.
This will make each scenario full of possibilities, what a Close Combat just with 500 points? for example
  • The player who inits the game can decide: No Heavy tanks, or/and no artillery, no transports, etc.
This will also make each map as many different scenarios.
What a Street fighting without tanks?
Basically there are three kind of tactical scenarios:
  • Defend the position
  • Meeting engagement.
  • Take the position.
Now, the force selection just offers one, the meeting, I wonder if it's possible to offer the others. The force selection will be very different if you must defend a position than is you has to take one.

Thank you for your job.

Most of those things are on the wishlist for sure. We are also aiming to integrate some kind of 'official' semi-autmomated system from the download system to allow us to release maps to everyone without having to go through the extended deployment time for an actual game update. That would allow us to put out maps (and even expansions) without requiring everyone to update their game.

We're definitely aiming for different victory conditions in future MP force selection missions.

Cheers

Pip

One more thing, the deployment of purchased unit should be improved.

It's annoying to purchase some transports, mortar, AP, or infantry and begin the scenario loosing the first turn moving the transports adjacent to units you wish to load.

Maybe a way to define witch units will be loaded and witch transport should be adjacent at the beginning.

A way to deselect a unit is click on the icon unit at the bottom left corner.
On the MacOS this do not work if the icon is over a non playable area of the scenario (the bonus icons work even here).
It works on the iPad.

Sorry I'm repeating one of my old wishes:
Is much difficulty to show the name of the actual scenario?.

Me, and I presume many others, post topics not indicating in witch scenario is happening something because we do not remember the name. I found myself in MP, saving a turn to have the option to reload and see the name!!, to be able to post an indicate where happens something.

Will be appreciate.

Thanks good suggestion. I have done the same thing :)

Unless we have a critical issue these versions are going to be released so any additional changes will be in a later release.
