Will Afrika Korps be put through a beta process?
I remember one of the major updates (1.04/05, I think) had issues that were not caught because they were introduced without beta testing. AK has AI trigger changes and other, unspecified, changes - a beta run-through would seem to be a good idea to me, anyway.

I don't recall any game play issues. Did you mean the problem that affected the scenario editor?

Yeah, it wasn't to do with the DLCs or anything like that - I will try to find it but I think it might have been to do with the (then) new campaign system.

Yeah it was no user made campaigns or scn's could be played. It was 1.04.El_Condoro wrote:Yeah, it wasn't to do with the DLCs or anything like that - I will try to find it but I think it might have been to do with the (then) new campaign system.
It was fixed in 1.05.

Hello,
I have played nearly all DLCs Grand Campaigns and I see that from 1942 the human player only plays against the Soviets (in 1941 there is still Creta).
So I guess the DLCs campaigns are from 1942 onwards up to 1945 the "Eastern Front campaigns" whereas the Afrika Korps campaign starts from 1941 and could be played up to 1945 only against the Western powers I imagine. Correct ?
Or it is "only" limited to Africa Corps ?
In this case will there be "what if" scenarios like the invasion of the Caucasus after the victory in Egypt and in Israel like in PG ?
After the Desert war campaign , could the core units be imported to another campaign taking place in the West from 1943 Sicily to 1945 in Berlin ?
Could you confirm this ?
Other questions non related to Africa Corps mod:
Then I come to a second question, the best scenario for me is the one of the old PG in Berlin where the human player using the Soviets and the Western Allies destroyed the remnants of the German Wehrmacht, will you set up a similar scenario in a new future campaign ?
What I liked very much in PG was the choice given to the player to move to the East or to the West, here in your campaigns the choice is more limited, do you intend to design a general campaign wich such proposed choices ?
Then "what if scenarios" in a new general campaign could be fine like fights in USA (even if this already exists in the original game) and in the Ural in 1946 for instance.
I really loved the original campaign and all the DLCs, keep up the good work!

Personally, a nice surprise would be to command a german-italian core and that the campaign kicks off in Sidi Barrani.
With v1.05 it is already possible to have a mixed core from different countries and those units are upgradable by units of its own nation but until now only one nation can be leading nation and thus fresh units can only be chosen from that nation.

I agree it would be nice to lead a mixed core of units. Rommel had more Italian troops than German!
Re: Will Afrika Korps be put through a beta process?
Any word on beta testing AK? Had no access to internet for a few months (stolen telecommunication cables here in South Africa, a new phenomena it seems!) and would like to know if I missed the Beta testing of the AK. If not, when do you gents envision doing so?
Regards.

Oh, this might be old news to some, but to me it's fresh given my 'net problems the last few months:
