(apart from when i got TOTALLY sidetracked with 'panzer corps ' for a couple of months!)! ok now the suggestionsthe turns are set for 25.. why not for say '10' points, allow either side to buy or subtract 5 turns? ie; .. player axis chooses all land troops.. it's gonna take his troops a few turns to reach the action ..so he wants a longer game! ..player allies wants a shorter game since he's bought all halftracks and trucks to get his troops there quickly .. both players spend 10 points on wanting the game to be longer/shorter .. net result=game stays at 25 turns .. i think an initial 30 turns would be better if this idea is adopted (which it probably won't be but it's food for though for future maybe?)
can't we buy / choose SUPPORT with points cost? ..and how many! .. ie: i choose engineers instead of armour..i want re supply,..not promotion!
why aren't there more units to choose from ? ..there's the scantiest amount!..that's not really true force selection..why not have ALL of the available units for each side? ..and then choose an optional amount of points that each side agree on!!( moveable with a slider) that would be fun!
why not make allied armour a little cheaper to offset their deficiency (lol!)
can moveable mortars (1 square per turn) and A.T. guns be employed ..? maybe at the expense of not doing anything the next move to make up for their ardous task lol! i've seen teems of soldiers move big AT guns over all sorts of obstacles so it CAN be done! and heavy MG's ..
and the ultimate question .. where are the russians?
c'mon it's been 2 years or more .. still loving the game by the way,.. and some of this may have been covered before..i really should read all the posts but been really busy. sorry if this seems a bit negative..it's just stuff that's been bugging me since the start.
and .. new sound tracks .. pleeeeez (gypsy jazz came out in 1938!!)

Force selection - Buying support? Yes please
Bones65 raises some interesting ideas here... but buying support sounds seriously great... I've begun to figure out that there are several reasons why I love the new Meeting Engagement Map, (i) it's huge so it's possible to try out many different strategies, (ii) it's actually evenly balanced Germans vs Allies, (iii) there are plenty of houses and forest to hide in, so it's not solely about who has the best tanks... but there's also a fourth... it's the only map which has all of the support options available, ie. ground attack aircraft, artillery barrage, heal and promote... Allies need a few of these to stand any reasonable chance of taking out teams of Tigers or Panthers... So Bones' idea, to buy access to support options at the force selection stage, is really rather clever... I'd happily pay for the artillery and heal buttons if I was playing Allies vs German Panthers... Lacking this support in most of the other new maps is proving to be a certain route to rapid, flaming Sherman death
