Freezing and Crashing

Have had PzC on my computer for a month or so now. I have not played for a week and now when I load a PBEM or Scenario it just freezes and/or crashes, sending me to my desktop.

There has been no changes to my system except that my daughter has used this computer for homework twice since I last played PzC so I figure she made some changes to audio or video.

Currently I have changed my Audio files to _Audio and this seems to have solved my problem and I have been able to play but not nearly as entertaining.

What I have tried:
Read through a dozen posts and solutions.
Changed the wav files to mp3....no success
Installed K-Lite 8.3.0.....did not help but not sure what to change.
Changed Music and Voice files to _Music and _Voice....no success to changed them back.

Besides a new computer, what do you recommend?

Probably she installed a codec pack, like K-lite or similar. The problem with these codec packs is that most of the times they broken the Windows MCI, which is the API that Panzer Corps uses for reproducing video and audio.
Try to look for a older version of K-lite.
I've just upload an older version. But first remove your installed K-lite version, and install this one after.

You don't need to buy a new computer, but you can always format and install your Windows again.
But before this, try the k-lite above and report back.

Uninstalled the K-Lite version I had and used the one provided in your link.
Back up and running.
