BA In-Game Account Creation

Hi guys, I recently purchased Battle Academy on the Mac and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.
Except that I want to create a Slitherine account in-game and link it to my serial but I keep receiving MISSING_IDS_LOGGIN_ERROR-10 error almost instantaneously. Any idea what's going on?

Also, is the account I'm using to post in the forums the same kind of account used for multiplayer?
In any case I don't want to use this one, as I must confess, I entered bogus informations since your registration form is not encrypted and I was uneasy at sending my name, address and phone number in the clear.

Hmmm - that is odd. I'm not sure what that error means! Are you trying to use an email you already used to register?

If you register through the forums (to make your 'real' account) you can use the register button on the launcher to hook the game serial to your account.

I'm using the email I bought the game with.
The register button in the launcher is greyed out. I guess after I registered it the first time.

BTW, do you guys plan on adding encryption on register/login?

I'm getting a little confused. So you have already registered the game to an account? You won't then be able to create a new account with the same serial (which would explain why it was failing, if not the odd error message).

If you are concerned about privacy, I don't believe we require an address etc for the creation of an account, so you can always leave them off. I'm not sure of the encryption that the site uses, but I can look into it.

I'd have to double check since I installed the game some weeks ago. But from what I remember, registering your game through the launcher on the Mac just asks for a serial, not an email.
When I go to the multiplayer menu it says that my serial is not tied to an account but I have entered/registered my serial in the launcher menu. Otherwise I think I would not be able to launch the game.
I installed the 1.8.0 patch straight without a previous version, since on the Mac it is a complete stand-alone application (.app) and not an installer package.

Ah - OK. There are two buttons on the Mac launcher. Register (which should light up if the serial isn't registered to an account) and Unlock Expansions. You will have entered your serial in Unlock Expansions to be able to run the game, but Register will take you to a webpage where you would enter your forum login/pw to attach it to your account.

OK, but if I did that why is the Register button greyed out in the launcher when in the multiplayer screen the game says "Game not registered to an account, if you have a Slitherine account, enter your details here."?

Hmmm - that is wierd. Can you email your serial to info@slitherine.co.uk with details of the issue, and they can look up and see what is going on.
