We played Christmas Surprise with me as the Germans.
I had him on the ropes with about 5 turns left, beating him back each time at the 2 choke points.
In fact, he really only attacked on the right flank, which I was sure was a mistake.

With 5 turns left, we even chatted back and forth that it looked like he might resign. He played on,....luckily.
He then broke through, and flew through my last defense. (which ended up being mud, but that's all I had left)

I did have a lone Panzerfaust team hidden in the back country. And fortunately, they played a crucial part.
I was also able to pull back a suppressed tank that eventually gained enough morale to also play a part.

Needless to say, on the last turn his forces came one shy of victory. A surprising "almost victory" and proof that you should never give up.
