The first time i had to do it myself i did the following:
Open the pzloc file from a vanilla scenario, copy the the text after "IDS_SCEN_AXIS_SCN_OBJECTIVES " then paste it in the pzloc file of your scenario (in the same line ofcourse). Then replace the scenario objectives by the one for your scenario and save. Make sure Pzloc and Pzscn files have identical names as for example: myscenario.pzscn and myscenario.pzloc. This is what you have to do if it is a single standalone scenario.
Incase it is a scenario in a campaign then you have to do the above but after "IDS_SCEN_AXIS_CAM_OBJECTIVES".
If you still encounter any problem, don't hesitate to post.
This is such a line: <i>Decisive Victory:</i><br/>Take all primary objectives<br/><br/><i>Marginal Victory:</i><br/>Take all primary objectives.

Ok so the scenario works fine but the text is not there
ok so here is a screenshot of my path and showing the filenames are correct.
Ok here is my pzloc file that works fine but shows no text so it needs fixing
Ok here is my fix according to my understanding of your post .. however it does not work still no text each turn in the scenario ... what did I do wrong

Could you zip those two files a post them here as an attachment? I could have a look then (in the editor), because at the moment i cannot think of anything else.

Play the scenario if you want may be fun its 25 turns Poland timeframe I tweaked the AI some so its not a push over needs more tweaking though but its different
Re: Editing Text in Scenario Desighn
Unzipped in \scenario folder and started the scenario.
I did not encounter this problem.

Re: Editing Text in Scenario Desighn
I have heard of the pzloc get corrupted somehow - all the text is there and correct but it won't display correctly.
1. Open the pzloc and copy all the text from it. Close the file.
2. Open an existing and working pzloc. Save As the pzloc that you opened in 1. above. Delete all the text. Paste into the file. Save.
3. Check it out.
Weird but it has worked in the past.

Re: Editing Text in Scenario Desighn
I thought dealing with a corrupted pzloc as you showed above would work
but no cigar
so then I remembered a couple of days ago
I ran across a sticky link in the forums of an updated scenario designer which is actually simply an excutable - I downloaded it and tried the updated version t but I can not pull up the scenario I created with this updated editor because among other things the forums say it does not work with older scenarios
so now I think I will try and make a simple scenario with this new scenario update and see if it works
.... makes the text.
The point is I did something somewhere at sometime to screw something up regarding the pzloc but anyway...
If I reinstall and it works with the old scenario designer then I'm stuck in theory with the old one
but need to do the new one because at some point I may get into the core transfer thing which this new senario designer fixes and furthermore thank you all for your help and it is only 1 scenario my 1st one that is messed up so no big deal right
It is fun to make more of them which I will do with the new designer.
so let me see if I can get the text working now using a fresh scenario from scratch.
If not I just simply rar them to nikivdd and he rars them back cause they work for him I know he is sitting at his pc now waiting for rars during the wars.

Re: Editing Text in Scenario Desighn
Ok now the text is working - my problem was that between each turn it only showed me the turn number now it shows whatever I have put in the .pzloc file according to the scenario parameters - I have not made any campaigns.
I tried installing Word 2010 that I bought but it would not install and with having the problem with lack of text between turns I decided to restore my image. I have two separate harddrives on the pc and use Maximum Reflect to image C: to drive F: actually. E: is a partition of F: and D: is my DVD RW drive.
Ok so after reimaging [all I had to do was jump in my Cmos make it boot to my DVD RW so it boots to the Maximum Reflect boot disk I made then I do a few mouse clicks (windows does not start it boots to the disk) and it restores the image I saved of Drive C: from F: drive where I saved the image to C: drive] I was able to install word 2010 then I reinstalled Panzer Corps and eventually make a scenario to see If I could get the text to come up correctly in the .pzloc file pertaining to the scenario I made.
Anywho it still didn't work then eventually I stumbled on a way to make it work which actually was what someones on here maybe was telling me to do but anyway this is what I have to do to get it to work.
Make a scenario save it to the Scenario directory that I created in My documents. (upon saving the scenario it creates the scenario specific .pzloc file 'the text file' in this scenario directory)
Ok then edit the .pzloc file to correctly display the text (<i>Decisive Victory:</i><br/>if it moves kill it.<br/><br/><i>Marginal Victory:</i><br/>run and hide.) ok we all know this but then for it to work with me I had to copy the .pzloc file that is scenario specific to the scenario I made - I had to copy it into the DATA directory where I installed Panzer Corps. THE DATA FOLDER ... sorry keep calling it a directory I'm old school ... is the folder having all the scenarios campaign battles that come with the original game. I only copy the .pzloc file there not the other file. And today I tried deleting the .pzloc file out of the scenario directory in my documents and the text still works the key seems to be for me to have it in the DATA folder.
one other thing I installed Panzer Corps to its own custom folder on Drive E: and the my documents folder having scenario in it is on drive C: maybe this is what eveyone was telling me to do from the beginning ... copy pzloc to data .. but the great thing is, is that the text is working now I'm a happy camper.
Maybe some computer Geek on here can figure out why this works but at least it does

Re: Editing Text in Scenario Desighn
So, just to clarify, you are saying:
1. The pzscn file is in the My Games\Panzer Corps\scenario folder (C:\ drive)
2. The pzloc file is in the main Panzer Corps\Data folder (E:\ drive)
and it all works fine?

Re: Editing Text in Scenario Desighn
Here is my pc the harddrive set up:
WIN7 in on drive C: a separate harddrive from my other harddrive which is drive E: Panzer Corps is installed on drive E: Drive D: is a partion of E: where I save stuff but is not important. Earlier I think I said the wrong thing that E: is a partion of D: but anyway C: and E: are two separate harddrives installed on my motherboard. C:= win7 E:=where panzer corps is installed. Oh, the my docs is on C: of course. As shown below:
This shows where I put the Poska_1 scenario I created with the editor. for win 7 the exact path is C:\Users\Bob\My Documents\My Games\Panzer Corps\Scenario
This is on drive C: as shown at the top of this screen shot. Per instructions on the forums I created the Folder Scenario.
Ok so having created a scenario this is what the pzloc file looks like in the scenario folder
no text has been added this is what the editor created this pzloc. so of course when viewed at this point during a turn it will only show the turn number.
ok it won't let me insert more screenshot I start another thread

Re: Editing Text in Scenario Desighn
ok so per your instrucions to make it easy I just copy the correct string into the pzloc file the:
something like this <i>Decisive Victory:</i><br/>Capture and control all 11 objectives.<br/><br/><i>Victory:</i><br/>Control the majority of city blocks
must be put next to IDS_SCEN_AXIS_SCN_OBJECTIVES in the pzlox file
this is the text above I put in ...
ok then I gotta stick it in the DATA folder where my panzer corps is installed when doing this the text works
Finally ... thanks for your help it got me on the right path to get it working ...
