Hi guys,
This is absoloutely basic. I am playing the very 1st partisan tutorial, select a unit move fight etc. I have 3 other units and despite the manual saying you can change between your units anytime you like, i can not find any way to swap to the 2nd unit when the 1st is finished.
Just left clicking on another unit is the obvious one but it does not do anything.
What am i missing?
Can't select different units

Re: Can't select different units
That is all you do as far as I know and what I did when playing the game but I have not had that much time with the game personally.
I only ever played with default settings - I wonder if you have changed something that effects the way this is handled?
Maybe ask at the Matrix forums as its much more active and where the dev team lives.

Re: Can't select different units
If you are using the 'Persistant' APs rule (which is the default), you should be able to simply click on another unit to choose it. If you are using the 'Classic' AP rules, then you have to hit the escape key to deselect the unit. The reason for this is once you deselect a unit, it loses all remaining APs so they didn't want you to do this by accident. Once you deselect the unit, you should then be able to select the next unit you wish to use.

Re: Can't select different units
I think I did select classic AP's.
I was used to the board game and tried to select the options that emulated the board game.
I will check the esc key tonight. Thanks for the advice.

Re: Can't select different units
Just note that the full classic board game behaviour isn't built in yet. For example, there is no 'stalling'. They put the classic mode in rather late due to pre-release feedback by testers and fans. They didn't have time to fully implement it but are planning to in future patches/add-ons.

Re: Can't select different units
Ok that is working.
Every game nice tooltips come up. Click on them and they go. No problem.
Also now in every game I seem to have a tutorial tip about smoke in the top right hand section of game. I have not worked. Out how to get rid of this. Looks like it is left over as a bug. Can I just switch off the tutorial tips. I am not playing the tutorial missions now anyway....
How do you win the monsters tutorial?

Re: Can't select different units
If you are playing the tutorial scenarios, you cannot switch off the tips. Be aware there are non-tutorial versions of the exact same scenarios. You may have discovered a bug but it's hard to say without looking at it, it may just be the very last tip. If you upload a save (in a zip file) I can look at it if you wish but I suggest you really just play the non-tutorial versions if you are comfortable with how to play now.
Monsters is probably the single hardest scenario in the entire portfolio of scenarios. Maybe an unfortunate choice as a tutorial scenario but I'd move on to others until you are more seasoned, or just accept it may take a few playthroughs before you figure out a winning strategy. My tip is to use ample amounts of smoke from your PzIVs and flank as much as you can, don't split your forces.
