Could not end game Somebody Observing

Gday all
Tryed to end a game as normal at the end of a turn and the following is the messagei recieved

" Sorry,could not give an order" " A player that is only observing the game tried to give an order"

I could only end the game by clicking on close game in the sub menu,then it took me back to the Dialougue box. I have had this message once before and thought it odd. Can games be observed by non players?

I had the same message two or three times in the past.

Yes this is the second time its happened to me. Hopefully someone from Slitherine can shed some light on this???

This will all be resolved when the new version is released. I have no idea what it means as there is no way to observe a game....

Thanks Ian so it seems to be a bug of some sort? I thought i was the only one getting this message but Fedem has also got them so i am not alone

I've just got this exact same message now in a multiplayer game with the scores at 55/56 against 33/34. It would seem I'll never get to know who the real winner was going to be in this battle. Anyway, this particular bug still appears to be alive and hopefully it can be terminated with prejudice.

Or maybe my game's still on. I went to the Close Game option and it seems to have sent the move as per usual. Get that bug in any case for giving me a terrible fright. I can once more try and snatch glory from the jaws of defeat in the mother of all epic of battles...

This bug will definitely go as will all other bugs. The game is being rewritten from scratch - every line of code so nothing that is there now will be there in the new version. However there will be a lot of new bugs to find and squash as we go through the beta phase of the new engine.
