This is the first instalment of historical scenarios for Maelstrom - the name I am giving to my Allied Corps mod. I assume that an official Allied Corps will come out one day so the name is to avoid confusion later on.

This campaign is played as the US. A British campaign is a future project.

The campaign tree is in the link here: Campaign Tree

INSTALLATION
The GME installer files are here: GME installer files
Install to your GME custom mods folder and enable the mod.

The custom files for the campaign are here: Custom campaign
Install to your custom campaign folder (usually My Documents\My Games\Panzer Corps\Mods)

Requires:
Massi's terrain tiles
Sound Mod
Allied Corps graphics mod by Bebro (Recommended)
Other mods are installed with Maelstrom.

SCENARIOS
Note that only the following scenarios are done:
Salerno (Avalanche)
Anzio
Anzio Breakout
Gothic Line
Po Valley

Do not take any of the options that Decisive Victories might give to go anywhere else! :)

You can play on to the hypothetical Red Dawn scenarios where you will take on the Soviet Army.

Credits to follow, but VPaulus, Razz1, rezaf, bebro (see the great opening screen!) for starters. :)

I am interested to hear comments, suggestions, etc. Although it is an historical campaign it is not slavishly so. However, I am interested if I have got something glaringly wrong.
Cheers.
are there any more files required? used those and no allied menu. just the panzer corp menu

Did you download and install the Allied Corps GUI in the GME. You'll only see the Allied GUI with it although the rest of the campaign will play without it.

Btw I hope to have the rest of the campaign finished in a month or so. Dragoon/Anvil (done), D-Day (done), Cherbourg (done), Cobra (done), Argentan/Falaise (done), Metz (80%), Nordwind (80%), Battle of the Bulge (started), Germany (started). Getting there slowly...

Good news. Will you take advantage of any AK improvements (so release it after AK)? Just curious here...dunno if you can reveal anything about that... :)

Yes, I will start the NA - Torch stuff before it is released (just to get the historical aspect squared away) and then translate it to the AK tiles. I am wondering what effect the new AI will have and how much balancing of existing scenarios will be needed.

Hi

I would like to use your jeep unit and parts of the Allied corps graphics in a custom Market-Garden campaign, is that OK with you?

The movement sound of the Willy Jeep disappeared after installing 1.10. Do you know the name of the audio-file used?
I will see if my installation of VPaulus' Redux 1.10 still has the file.

Thank you
Erik

No problem from me. Actually, none of the graphics or sounds are mine, anyway! I think the jeep came from bebro and the sound from von Paulus.

Willy's sounds iare not in Redux 1.10, because there's no official Willy's unit.
So you'll find the sound in bebro's USMC campaign and in DMP Ostfront Redux sound mod.
Not all the sound mods adaptations I make, have exactly the same sounds. When I adapt Redux to any mod, I sometimes add new sounds.
Meanwhile my sound database is becoming bigger. 8)
The Willy's sound filename is:
Willys_1.wav. Willys_2.wav and Willys_3.wav

Ok, have just finished Anzio Breakout...put a stupid Brit unint in Rome and only got a MV! Darn it! Curious as to why only 5 strenght for the captured unit? Took my Brits forever to get across the river...that 2 range on the 25lber just makes it so tough ...those greman 105's were eating my lunch! No real issues to note so far, I did notice that Rome was just a green grassy hex, no city? I think there was a brit city or two like that also? Am I missing a mod maybe???

So far I have really enjoyed this! Very nice work and I appreciate you sharing this with everyone!

No worries, morge4. The reason for the requirement of a US unit to take Rome is historical - Mark Clarke would not allow the British (Canadians, actually) to take Rome before the Americans. The captured units are only 5 strength as a compromise - I don't like captured units generally because they seem to be a whole corps of them when in 'reality' they only captured small numbers and mixed them in with the standard TOE. There were exceptions, especially with the Germans after capturing so much French stuff in 1940. The thing to do with captured equipment in Maelstrom, if you want them to get stronger, is get experience and overstrength them.

I am in the process of finishing Sicily, which is the link between the North African and Italian scenarios. The European scenarios are done, with the exception of the final one - Germany, which will be used to lead on to the Red Dawn campaign (if the player so chooses). I hope to release the beta in October.

Ahh, that makes sense and kinda agree with that strategy. You only realyy captured 1 or 2 of a particulat uint, not a whole division/corp of them.

What about the 'missing' city hexes? I have the Maelstrom Mon, the Real Sounds Mod and the Allied Corp mod?

Thanks again for such a great Mod! Do I remember right, is Slitherine/Lords coming out with a Allied expansion?

Yes, they are - later this year.

The missing cities will be due to you not having Massi's mod installed. See the top thread for a link.

and thanks for the feedback. :)
