Mission impossible

Post by syagrius »

I have reached the battles against Spartacus in my campaign. I must win the battle with 12 squads maximum and not losing more than 100 men. The enemy army outnumber mine by almost two to one. I tried to buy better armor and weapons to my troops but with no avail. I tried this battle like 20 times!!

By the way the game is fun but this battle drives me nut! Any advices?

I managed to won over Spartacus using more archers. Now I am with Caesar army and there is a battle in Africa in which I have to win with less than 80 casuality! This one is really, really difficult, I have tried it more than 20 times! Any advices?

If I remember correctly, you can reduce the difficulty level for just that battle and then return it to the level you are playing at now.

Cheers

Yes I know that, however I am aleready playing at the lowest difficulty level! Maybe I did something wrong with my army.

Did you place your units in a defensive formation? backed-up with archers?

Sometimes a battle can be decided by changing the formations. I see 2 options here. Either you resist long enough in defensive formation or you win quickly by selecting an offensive formation.

Thanks for the tips Anguille. However last night I managed to win this difficult battle, my archers saving the day again! I have now completed the campaign. I guess on harder difficulty it will be quite a challenge!

Well done!

Yes on harder difficulty it's a real challenge. I am playing the campaign on very hard but had to lower the difficulty to hard twice.
