Error 99

What does error 99 mean? My partner and I are playing War in the East, and he cannot seem to upload the file, he is getting an "error 99". What gives?

Sorry you are having problems. This sounds like a general connection issue. Ask him to check his connection and try again.

No connection issue. Everything else works fine. I tried 6 times last night and finally gave up.
Without any way to save the game, I lose all I did and have to start over when I shut down my PC.
Any other advise?

Tried again today. This time just moved a few units and tried to save. Same ERROR [99} but with no option for retry and then game froze there. I had to use Task Manager to even exit game.

I get something similar, I dont get a error code I just freeze up, mostly when I go to save, but it also happend when moving units and conducting air missions. It does not happen all the time. I thought it was when I had other apps up, so I closed out all apps, but it just did again today, froze up and no apps were running. Should I reinstall game?

Okay I am getting the error 99 message now, cant log into multiplayer at all now. It did not freeze up my computer this time at least, though I was not saving or playing, just logging into server to play next turn.

Doh, was not running newest patch, I am able to log back in now, and hope it resolves the freeze ups.

I am getting error 99 message again, also It made past verify once, and I got a serial number authentication failure, then Back too Error 99 on the fourth try.

what is wrong? Are you conducting server maintenance? I was just playing this morning no problems..then taking lunch I tried to log back in to finish up turn, and error 99.........
