allocating dices for disorder

Post by franck »

I have a doubt on the following :
- :D (facing up) a Cv by 4 fighting, in its front against another unit  (facing down)
- an ennemy El  (facing down) overaps the Cv
as disorder applies to bases and not to full BG, only 2 bases of the Cv (close to El) are affected, so still gets 4 dices during melee :

:D :D
:D :D

It is correct ?

Yes, disorder by bases so no loss of dice

And, the authors stated somewhere in here that this was intentionally done. That way a unit fighting the elephants would lose dice but a friendly cav unit supporting the elephants would only have 2 stands disordered and therefore not affected by the elephants. This simulates the idea that the friendly horses were used to working with the elephants but no actual rule is needed.
