There isn't a button for any of the above

Personally I would be happy with any of these periods, possibly with a slight leaning towards the Greek or Roman ones.

Sorry trying again:

There is no button marked "Any of the above" i.e. I am happy to play any of these themes and think a theme is a great idea.

Sorry, I misunderstood.

If I add such a button now, will it delete the existing votes?

Not a problem, that is why I decided to 'vote' by replying to the thread instead.

I used Early Crusaders at Leeds. They were OK, the main problem I found was the lack of LF to contest difficult terrain and the lack of drilled troops to help manoeuver on the flanks and protect them. Also, the defensive spearmen were a bit timid, but as compensation were reasonably cheap.

At the time of deciding the themes for Usk, Rise of Rome and Imperial Rome were neck and neck - Rise of Rome was picked.

As a contrasting 2nd theme was required, the second chosen theme is Rise of the Ottomans.

I believe that Burton will be offering the Western Europe in the Late Middle Ages theme in February.

I think most people choose one roman period because most of us have at least one army that fits the period :P
I would have some difficulties to field a correct medieval army ( now )

Are the themes being played seprately, or is it one competition pitting armies from both themes against each other?

Separately. Not much point in having themes otherwise. You will note that one of the themes is not in the first 2 published books.
